Abrasive wear is the most common and serious form of wear.Vibration often affects abrasive wear of materials,so it is meaningful to study the influence of different frequencies of vibration on abrasive wear.Taking high manganese steel as a specific research object,this paper analyzed the influence of different vibration frequencies on abrasive wear of high manganese steel.In this paper,the normal force,tangential force and wear depth of high manganese steel specimens under different vibration frequencies are simulated by the discrete element analysis software EDEM.Then the working principle and components of the vibration loose abrasive wear tester are introduced in detail.Seven groups of high manganese steel abrasive wear testers with different vibration frequencies are made by the vibration loose abrasive wear tester.Damage test was carried out,and the data obtained from the test were recorded.After that,the wear morphology of the sample surface was observed by the ultra-depth-of-field microscope.Finally,the factors affecting the abrasive wear results under vibration conditions were analyzed.Through the analysis of simulation results and test data,the following conclusions are drawn: vibration will accelerate the abrasive wear of high manganese steel specimens,and the higher the vibration frequency in the same time,the greater the wear amount;the abrasive wear of specimens is mainly caused by the normal force on the specimens;under different frequencies of vibration,the specimens begin to wear fast,and the wear rate gradually increases with time.The wear rate increases linearly with the increase of the vibration frequency before the vibration frequency is 6 Hz,but increases continuously when the vibration frequency increases to 6 Hz.The increase of wear rate slows down gradually,and finally tends to a certain value.The abrasive wear mechanism of high manganese steel without vibration is micro-cutting and plastic deformation.With the increase of vibration frequency,the abrasive wear mechanism gradually changes to plastic deformation.With the increase of vibration frequency,the mechanism of abrasive wear changes to plastic deformation and fatigue failure.Through the analysis of the factors affecting the results of abrasive wear under vibration conditions,it is concluded that vibration affects the abrasive wear of samples through several factors,such as the sharpness of abrasive particles,the hardness of abrasive particles,the interaction force between abrasive particles and samples,and temperature.This paper has 34 figures,10 tables and 57 references.
