Since the 20 th century, the rapid development of the economy has been accompanied by accelerated consumption of energy, environmental quality has deteriorated, and the issue of carbon emissions has received more and more attention. From the 2016 Global Carbon Budget Report released by the official carbon project official organization,China's carbon emissions in 2015 reached 10.4 billion tons, accounting for 29% of the world,China's total carbon emissions account for a rising proportion of the world. As the main driving force of China's economic growth, the manufacturing industry's spatial agglomeration effect and its impact on carbon emissions have been widely concerned, but the views on the impact of manufacturing agglomeration on carbon emissions are not consistent.Based on the externality of Marshall and the externality of Jacobs, this thesis examines the impact of two agglomeration models of specialized agglomeration and diversification on carbon emission levels, verifies the spatial correlation of carbon emissions in China, and uses spatial econometric models to agglomerate models for carbon emissions. The empirical analysis of the impact of the level has important practical significance for China to achieve sustainable development and the healthy development of the industry.First of all, this thesis introduces the connotation of manufacturing agglomeration mode, including the classification criteria of agglomeration mode, the definition of manufacturing specialization agglomeration mode and manufacturing diversification agglomeration mode, and analyzes the carbonation level of specialized agglomeration mode and diversified agglomeration mode. The influence effect and its spatial spillover effect laid the theoretical foundation for the empirical analysis.Secondly, this thesis measures China's provincial carbon emission level, manufacturing specialization level and manufacturing diversification level and analyzes its spatial distribution characteristics.Thirdly, the STIRPAT model is introduced into the STIRPAT model to introduce the STIRPAT extension model.Considering the spatial effect of variables, the spatial measurement model is used to study the impact of manufacturing agglomeration model on carbon emissions. The spatial lag model, spatial error model and spatial Dubin model are introduced. The spatial correlation of carbon emissions was verified by global correlation test, and the spatial agglomeration characteristics of carbon emissions were further analyzed by Moran scatter plot. Then, through the test, the spatial Dubin model applied in this thesis is selected, and the model estimation results at the national level and sub-regional level are analyzed. The empirical results show that there are certain regional differences in the impact of the manufacturing agglomeration model on carbon emissions, but overall, the manufacturing diversification model has better emission reduction effects. On the basis of the above analysis, some suggestions for promoting low-carbon development in the region are proposed: local governments should play a guiding role, the western regional government guides the establishment of a market-led carbon emission reduction model, and the central government guides talents and technology across regional exchanges.Promote diversified agglomeration of manufacturing industry, rationally plan industrial layout, establish material recycling system, attach importance to regional cooperation;optimize manufacturing specialized agglomeration, accelerate knowledge renewal, use public facilities efficiently, base on key industries to expand diversified industries;strengthen regional environmental joint governance Formulate relevant economic policies and environmental protection policies, improve energy efficiency, formulate trade policies according to local conditions, change trade structure in the eastern region, increase trade openness in the western region, and strengthen trade supervision.
