To choose hydroxyl-2-naphthalic acid as carboxylate ligands,including3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid?3-HNA?,6-Hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid?6-HNA?,1,4-Bis?phenoxymethyl-2-naphthoic acid?benzene?1,4-BPNA?,as well as bis-imidazole,bis-benzimidazole,bis-amide ligands as N-proton ligands,fourteen complexes have been prepared successfully by hydrothermal/solvothermal method in the presence of Zn2+or Cd2+ions.The structures of complexes 1-14 were characterized by X-ray,IR,PXRD,and described in detail.Additionally,the fluorescence properties of these complexes have been also investigated.1.Five Zn?II?or Cd?II?complexes have synthesized by the combination of different N-donor ligands and carboxylate ligands,including bimb,bbimb,bimbp,3-HNA and6-HNA,Zn2+or Cd2+ions under hydrothermal/solvothermal condition as followings.Complexes 1-5 have similar 1D structures,which are featured with a kind of metal-organic chains built by N-donor ligands and metal centers,and the 3-HNA or 6-HNA ligands are dangled in pairs on both sides of such chain.Complexes 1-5 show better luminescent detection capabilities against Fe3+and Cr2O72-ions in DMF based on fluorescence quenching mechanism,but there is also an interesting performance of luminescence enhancement towards CO32-ion for complex 5.2.Introducing bis-pyridyl bis-amide ligands,3-bpam,3-dpye,3-dpyb,3-dpyh,4-dpyh into the reaction systems containing 3-HNA or 6-HNA ligands,Zn?II?or Cd?II?ions,nine complexes named as 6-14 were obtained under hydrothermal/solvothermal condition as followings.Complexes 6-14 exhibit 0D or 1D chain structure,except that complex 11 has a 2D layer based on 1,4-BPNA dicarboxylic acid ligand.That is to say,the carboxylic ligands may play key roles in inducing the structures of complexes.The investigation on the luminescence properties indicates that complexes 7-14 have luminescent sensing behaviors against Fe3+and Cr2O72-ions based on fluorescence quenching mechanism,but there are also interesting performances of luminescence enhancement towards Fe3+and CO32-ion for complex 6,only CO32-ion for complex 10.
