Research On Modular Design Of Contemporary Neoclassical Furniture

With the development of the economy,the total number of middle class people in China is gradually increasing,accounting for 20%~30% of China’s population.They have relatively well-off economic conditions and hope to pursue a better quality of life.At the same time,with the development of the Internet,e-commerce and online sales mode gradually occupy people’s life.According to the survey,the scale of online shopping users has reached 557 million,the online retail transaction volume has reached 4081 billion yuan,and the number of online shopping population is huge.Therefore,how to solve the e-commerce sales problems faced by enterprises while meeting the needs of middle class consumers is the focus of this project.This topic comes from the commissioned project of new product development of jiangxi ganzhou blue sky wood industry co,LTD,with blue sky wood industry co,ltd.as the supporting unit,the final product design is realized.Specific design practice and main research contents are as follows:The first chapter first discusses the basis of the research topic,analyzes the current situation of China’s furniture market,the income of furniture manufacturing industry in recent years,the policy background,consumer group positioning and other theoretical basis;This paper discusses the literature on neoclassical style and modular design,which lays a theoretical foundation for the subsequent design practice.The second chapter analyzes the theory of neoclassicism style furniture with the method of literature analysis,and explores the development process,classification and decorative characteristics of neoclassicism style furniture.This paper USES induction method to summarize the design points and methods of contemporary neoclassical furniture,and to find the meeting point of contemporary neoclassical furniture and modern production mode.The third chapter briefly analyzes the modular design method,including modular design concept,design characteristics and the application of modular design in furniture products.The fourth chapter is the graduation design practice.The furniture design category selected in this project is restaurant furniture.Restaurant furniture is the main furniture product in the restaurant space,an important carrier for dining,and the restaurant is also a place for family emotional communication.The design practices used neoclassicism style furniture modelling technique and aesthetic principles,based on the restaurant furniture,modular design method is used to decompose module,computer aided design to establish the virtual model,from the function,shape,structure,colour and material five aspects to carry on the design,completed the design practice of the contemporary neoclassical style furniture.The fifth chapter shows the results of the design practice,including the draft plan,the preliminary plan and the final plan.The conclusion of this design practice is: the modular design method is used to design furniture products for easy disassembly and assembly,to adapt to e-commerce sales,flat packaging and logistics transportation,to solve the problem of new sales channels faced by enterprises;Modular unit parts can realize mass production,reduce production cost and improve enterprise income.The detachable structure can also be used for diversified combination transformation of unit modules to provide diversified choices for consumers,meet individual needs and improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
