Luminescent materials are a kind of materials which can radiate light after absorbing high-energy particles?neutrons?or gamma rays?gamma rays?.They play a very important role in the field of radiation detection.Rare earth ions have rich optical transition energy levels due to their typical electronic structure.They are called the storehouse of luminescent materials.And they have been widely used in scintillation functional materials,such as fluorescent crystal,fluorescent glass,fluorescent ceramics,scintillation crystal,scintillation glass,scintillation ceramics.However,due to the high price of rare earth,the components containing rare earth are changed into other non earth elements,and they are verified have the same or better luminescent properties,such as YAG:Pr,Y2O2S:Eu and LaPO4:Ce.In recent years,with the development of related medical instruments,as well as the need of high-energy physics research,scintillators are requested higher and higher performance.If we can sum up the law of energy level transition through experiments,it has great significance in the theoretical and Performance Research of luminescent materials.we can influence or even change the energy level transition by doping or changing the matrix to meet the higher needs of the development of various fields.The chemical formula of yttrium aluminum garnet?YAG?is Y3Al5O12,or3Y2O3·5Al2O3,among which Y2O3 is 57.06wt%and Al2O3 is 42.94wt%.And YAG is a good luminescent matrix with high comprehensive properties?including optics,mechanics and heat?.Pr3+doped yttrium aluminum garnet fluorescent ceramic powder has excellent optical properties.In this paper,using high temperature solid-state method prepared two kinds of YAG:Pr ceramic precursor powders,which are different of sensitizer doped YAG:Pr phosphors and different proportion matrix YAG:Pr phosphors.The luminescent mechanism and main influencing factors were discussed by analyzing the valence state,luminescent spectrum and structural defects of YAG:PR phosphors.The results show that the yttrium aluminum garnet structure is completely formed at 1450 degrees.The YAG:Pr precursor powder can improve the luminous intensity by doping a small amount of sensitizer K+and Zn2+,and the effect of 1%doping zinc ion is the best.The luminescence efficiency of YAG:Pr precursor powder increases slowly with the increase of time by adding Li+and Na+.When 20%of the substrate of YAG:Pr is partially replaced by Zr4+,the luminescence efficiency is not significantly reduced.Replacing Gd3+with the substrate of YAG:Pr can not only effectively improve the luminescence efficiency,but also effectively inhibit the excitation of invisible light.30%of the doping is the best,40%is the best The band of invisible light is greatly suppressed.Only three levels of praseodymium ions are involved in the luminescence process of praseodymium ions,and no other valence ions are found.
