In recent years,the application of Gemini surfactants has gradually expanded,among which imidazoline Gemini surfactants have attracted more and more attention due to their excellent properties.Gemini surfactant is composed of two surfactant monomers connected by a binding group.The traditional imidazoline surfactant molecule is composed of a polar imidazoline group and a long hydrophobic alkyl chain.The corresponding Gemini surfactant is composed of two connected imidazoline surfactant monomers connected by a binding group.The results show that the imidazoline Gemini surfactants usually have high surface activity,and in the same medium,compared with the traditional surfactants,the imidazoline Gemini surfactants have better performance.In this paper,an efficient,energy-saving and environment-friendly synthetic route of imidazoline Gemini surfactants was explored,and a series of imidazoline Gemini surfactants with different carbon chain length were synthesized.It was characterized by IR,NMR and so on.It was determined as the target product.At the same time,we compared the emulsification,surface tension,critical micelle concentration and other physical and chemical properties of the corresponding monomer imidazoline surfactants.The results showed that the emulsification ability of the monomer and Gemini surfactants decreased with the increase of hydrophobic carbon chain length,and the emulsification ability of Gemini imidazoline surfactants was better than that of the same carbon chain length Agent.Gemini surfactants have better ability to reduce surface tension than monomeric surfactants with the same hydrophobic carbon chain length.The efficiency of reducing surface tension increases with the increase of hydrophobic carbon chain,and the efficiency of Gemini surfactant is better than that of monomer.It shows the outstanding advantages of imidazoline Gemini surfactant.The corrosion inhibition properties of imidazoline Gemini surfactants with different carbon chain length were studied.In the simulated seawater system,the corrosion inhibition effects on pure copper and X70 carbon steel are studied.The results show that the effect of carbon chain length on the corrosion inhibition effect is regular.The shorter the carbon chain length,the better the corrosion inhibition effect.The self-assembly properties of imidazoline Gemini surfactants with different length of carbon chain were investigated.The effect of concentration on aggregation behavior was studied by rheological and polarized light.It is found that the viscosity and shear stress of imidazoline Gemini surfactant solution will increase with the increase of concentration.At the same concentration and shear stress,the shear stress and viscosity of imidazoline Gemini surfactant increase with the increase ofcarbon chain length.
