As the contractor,Sinopec and KOC of Kuwait adopt the daily fee system for drilling rig construction contract,which means the economic loss caused by the equipment failure shall be borne by the contractor.Most of the Kuwait Petroleum area is located in the heart of the Middle East desert.The drilling rig faces many unfavorable conditions,such as high temperature drying,frequent disassemble,poor grounding,etc.,and the probability of component failure is much higher than that in China.Of which,the top drive device malfunction accounts for nearly half of the total.The fault diagnosis of top drive device requires a high level of knowledge,comprehensive ability and maintenance experience of the engineer in the field.Once a failure occurs,the engineer is often unable to quickly identify the cause of the failure and make corresponding measures,which is bound to aggravate the economic losses of enterprises.At the same time,it poses a great threat to Well Control safety.Through the further study on the relevant theories of modern fault diagnosis,it is confirmed that fault-tree technology will be introduced into the fault diagnosis of top drive device.The fault-tree technology can trace the cause of fault at the lower levels layer by layer according to the structure and characteristics of the diagnostic object until the cause cannot be divided.A series of directed chains of fault propagation formed by the downtree-type net structure of cause and effect generate huge benefits in the industrial field,which provid a way to speed up the cause analysis and dispose.The paper takes the top drive device of DQ70 BSQQ as the model,uses the fault tree analysis to construct the fault tree of each component,at the same time,some knowledge of common fault,maintenance and dispose of top drive device is collected and sorted out by communicating and exchanging the experience with domestic maintenance engineers.Through analyzing and determining the transforming criterion of the fault tree and diagnostic knowledge,the function,structure,workflow and diagnosis process of fault diagnosis software are designed.Meanwhile,C# language is used to translate and edit the management module of knowledge base,diagnostic control machine module,module of authorizing to login and explanation module,integrate the module and interface of fault diagnosis software and develop the prototype.The software has well-bedded structure,and clear and universal module function which is easy to operate.After applying in the site of oversea well drilling,fault diagnosis software of top drive device has obvious effect in speeding up the fault diagnosis,resuming production as soon as possible,reducing the economic loss,at the same time,the diagnostic process and programming structure can be promoted for the fault diagnosis of other drilling equipment.
