Hydraulic concrete is an important material in the construction of water conservancy projects.At present,fly ash is often used as admixture in hydraulic concrete to reduce the amount of cement,reduce the hydration of concrete,improve the workability of concrete,and improve the later strength of concrete.With the deepening of engineering construction and hydropower development,a large number of projects are constructed simultaneously.On the one hand,the supply of fly ash is in short supply,on the other hand,with the increase of transportation distance,the construction cost is increasing.The research shows that pozzolanic ash can be used as high quality concrete admixture.In this paper,the mix proportion design and performance test research of the scheme of adding pozzolanic ash to replace fly ash in the feasibility study stage are carried out for the concrete of the main part of Suwalong hydropower station.The raw materials such as cement and pozzolanic ash proposed to be used in the project are tested and analyzed.The results meet the technical requirements of the current regulations and specifications of the state and industry.Through 12 groups of sand ratio tests and 64 groups of water binder ratio strength tests,the water binder ratio,water consumption,glue material consumption,sand ratio and admixture consumption of concrete in 10 main parts,such as spillway,gate pier,spillway tunnel,power house phase I,power house phase II,anti-seepage wall,diversion tunnel and diversion tunnel,are determined,and the preliminary selection of concrete mix ratio in the above parts is proposed.The test results show that the compressive strength,frost resistance,impermeability and other properties of the primary mix concrete in the design age meet the design requirements,the pozzolanic concrete has large shrinkage,normal autogenous volume deformation,creep and other parameters,and the concrete has good thermal conductivity The thermal parameters such as coefficient of linear expansion and adiabatic temperature rise are all in the normal range.It shows that the Luhuo type I pozzolanic ash can reduce the hydration heat of concrete,reduce the water consumption of concrete,and improve the strength of concrete in the later stage,which is equivalent to the scheme of fly ash in the feasibility study stage.This paper also compares the demand and budget unit price of fly ash in the feasibility study stage,analyzes and evaluates the economic indicators of the application of pozzolanic ash,which shows that Luhuo pozzolanic ash has significant economic benefits in the construction of Suwalong hydropower station.Through research and demonstration,it is comprehensively explained that the Luhuo type I volcanic ash can meet the technical requirements of relevant national specifications,meet the principle of taking materials nearby and being economical and reasonable,and can play an active role as concrete admixture in Suwalong hydropower station.
