As an important part of the vehicle, the rolling resistance of the tyre directly affects the fuel consumption and exhaust emission of the vehicle. In order to save energy and protect the environment,China has actively promoted the green tire industrialization of "low rolling resistance, low oil consumption and high safety",and put forward higher requirements for the research of tire rolling resistance performance. The purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of tire inflation pressure, load and tread pattern structural design parameters on the contact pressure distribution between tread and tire body, and to establish the correlation between tire tread and tire body contact pressure characteristics and rolling resistance,so as to provide a basis for the structural design and rolling resistance performance evaluation of low-roll resistance tire.Based on 205/55 r16 passenger car tires as the research object, using ABAQUS software to establish finite element analysis model with complex pattern of tyres, through the analysis of static load and tire rolling conditions, calculation for tire rolling resistance, and through the drum test test method was carried out on the rolling resistance test, verify the validity of the simulation model and rolling resistance calculation and accuracy.By means of finite element analysis, the influence of inflatable pressure, load, tread pattern design parameters on the characteristics of contact pressure between tread and body was investigated. The region enclosed by the boundary where the contact pressure between the tread and the body changes obviously is defined as the contact region, and the influence of the above parameters on the pressure distribution in the contact region between the tread and the body is described from the aspects of geometric characteristic parameters and mechanical characteristic parameters. The results show that the contact area between tread and body decreases with the increase of air pressure and the decrease of load. The depth and width of the transverse and longitudinal grooves have less influence on the contact pressure distribution between tread and body, while the Angle of the oblique groove has more influence. With the increase of the oblique groove Angle, the length and area of the contact area between the tread and the body increased, the maximum contact pressure, the average contact pressure and the skewness of the contact pressure all decreased, and the contact pressure distribution became more uniform. The relationship between the characteristic parameters of contact pressure between tread and body and rolling resistance was studied through correlation analysis. The characteristic parameters of contact pressure between tread and body, which are closely related to rolling resistance, were determined as the evaluation parameters of rolling resistance performance. The principal component which plays a leading role in the rolling resistance is obtained by means of principal component regression analysis, and the linear expression of the evaluation parameters of the rolling resistance and the contact pressure characteristics between tread and body is established, which provides a feasible way for the prediction and evaluation of the rolling resistance of tire.
