In the 1960 s,the French philosopher called Jacques Derrida,proposed the theory of deconstruction in rapid development time and increasingly multi-facetted face in the field of fashion design has been widely used in the research and practice,and it emphasizes the way of thinking that get rid of the conventional,challenge the traditional,break the routine order and spatial structure,and explore the possibilities of the development of things.This way of thinking greatly expand the fashion designer's inspiration,in some how become a method and an innovation tools to freely express one's artistic view,so that the fashion style of deconstruction has been created.As a technique of garment technology,pleats has been used by many designers to enhance the garments outline in their own designs,which is one of the common design to deconstruct the style of garment and modeling.We should combine the concept of deconstruction style with the fashion style technique of pleats,uncover the mystery of deconstruction style,master the design and application method of pleats,and bring the essence of both to the utmost.The research and analysis of the design application of pleats in deconstruction style clothing can help people better understand the influence of pleats on three-dimensional modeling of fashion design,and enrich the expression technique and visual effect of garments.This paper through literature method and image method to theoretical state the general overview of the pleats,the origin of pleats and development of the pleats,and then collected represented the modern style of deconstruction fashion design master like Issey Miyake,Yohji Yamamoto,Rei Kawakubo and John Galliano,collectiong nearly ten thousands of their runway works to comb,respectively,summarizes the different form of pleats in the design of each brand forms,using methods and the change of different in the fashion styleing.Then,through the experimental methods of plane plate making and draping,the partial and combined application of pleats in deconstruction style clothing was reduced to study and observe the different effects of these pleats on the overall shape of styleing.Finally based on the analysis of the above content,find the regular of pleats in the application of deconstruction style clothing,and combined with the current market trends,design a series of innovative and conform to the development of the fashion marketing,the research achievements of this project conducted a comprehensive application,to complete pleats in the modernistic style clothing supplement and application.
