In order to improve the cutting performance and service life of the cutting tools,the current blade passivation technology has been paid more attention.The common cutting edge passivation features mainly include arc-shaped cutting edges,waterfall cutting edges,and chamfered cutting edges.The processing method of the arc-shaped cutting edge has been widely used,and the chamfering edge is an excellent edge shape in chip breaking.However,the passivation method is rarely studied.This paper mainly designs a chamfered edge passivation machine based on the principle of passivation of chamfered edge and carries out experimental research.Negative chamfering blade passivation machine design and test machine construction.A six-axis micro-negative chamfering passivation machine was designed according to the passivation process principle of negative chamfered edge,which mainly consists of tool(workpiece)holder,X-axis swing frame,Z-axis swing frame,Small electric grinder head,X,Y,Z axis coordinate slide,grinding head.And completed the establishment and debugging of the equipment,verifying the feasibility of the passivation method.Contrast Test of Passivation Uniformity of Three Passivation Methods.Negative twisted edge passivation machine,brush passivation machine,and whetstone were used to carry out equal passivation on three twist drills with the same geometric parameters.The contour drills were used to measure the drill bit at different positions.The blade edge passivation tool edge uniformity is better than the other two passivation methods.Comparative Study on the Effect of Negative Chamfering Edge Passivation Width on Cutting Performance and Processing Hole Quality.With the increase of the passivation width of the negative chamfering edge,the cutting force of the cutting tool increases and the chip breaking effect is obvious.However,when the passivation width increases to a certain value,the cutting force increases rapidly.Influence of Passivation Tool on the Cutting Performance by Three Passivation Methods.Negative chamfering edge passivation machine and oil stone passivation negative chamfering edge,the brush passivation arc-shaped edge,through the processing and testing system,the cutting force and the surface quality of the hole are compared and analyzed,round The arc-shaped cutting edge is slightly better than the chamfering edge in terms of the cutting force and the surface quality of the hole,but there is a large difference between the chip breaking edge and the chamfering edge.
