Tailings pond,as a place where tailings are stored in concentrator,is an important part of the normal production of mines,one of the three major control projects of metal mines,and is also a dangerous source with high potential energy.The geographical location of many tailings ponds is very important,some downstream is an important water source or residential area,some are important traffic arteries or construction facilities.Once dam break occurs,the tailing sand flow will not only cause soil erosion,but also affect the downstream residents,houses,crops,etc.,resulting in the loss of people's lives and property and serious environmental pollution.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influencing factors of tailings dam break.It is of great significance to master the influence of different dam height and fluid characteristics on the evolution law of discharged sand flow,which is of great significance to the disaster prevention and mitigation work and the protection of residents' life and property safety.In this paper,the three-dimensional numerical simulation of Ji'an Caiyuan tailings dam is carried out by using computational fluid software,and the influence of different dam height and rheological characteristics on the evolution distance,impact force,velocity and submergence depth of tailings dam break is explored.The main work of this paper is as follows(1)The research status of theoretical calculation,numerical simulation and model test of tailings dam break at home and abroad in recent years are summarized;(2)The common rheological models are summarized,and the parameters related to the theoretical calculation of dam break discharge sand flow are introduced,which provides theoretical basis for numerical simulation;(3)Taking Ji'an Caiyuan tailing pond as an example,the geometric model was established,and the grid division and boundary conditions were set up.The evolution distance,impact force,velocity and submergence depth of sand flow at 300 m,600m,900 m and 1200 m cross sections after dam break were analyzed,and the rationality of the model was verified;(4)The numerical model of tailing dam under different dam height and rheological characteristics is established,and the evolution distance,impact force,velocity and inundation depth of 600 m and 1200 m cross sections are explored to determine the influence of different factors on the evolution process of tailings dam break discharge sand flow and analyze the reasons;(5)According to the simulation results,the dam break severity of Jian Caiyuan tailings dam is evaluated,and combined with the debris flow disaster prevention and Mitigation Project,the protection measures of dam break sand flow are given.
