Study On Ecosystem Health Assessment At Municipal-and County-Levels In Jiangsu Province Based On Landuse Analysis

Since China's reform and opening up,China's population urbanization rate increased from 17.92%in 1978 to 60.60%in 2019.However,unreasonable rapid development of urban lead to the problem of "urban disease",ecosystem health assessment reveals the key problems affecting the urban condition of ecological system,and lay foundation for urban development and managementRegional ecosystem health assessment is based on ecosystem health assessment,and pays more attention to spatial dimension.Therefore,on the basis of landuse,this thesis sets up a framework of regional ecosystem health assessment to assess ecosystem health of Jiangsu province,and from perspective of ecosystem health assessment,this thesis quantifies ecological effect of regional land use.The main contents are as followsBase on theory of ecosystem health assessment,this thesis explains the significance of regional ecosystem health assessment,and makes a summary of the deficiencies of research on regional ecosystem health based on land use.On the basis of vector-graph of land use,according to the characteristics of regional ecosystem health,this thesis uses ArcGIS,Fragstats and other software,selects net primary productivity,landscape index,In VEST model and other index to construct the framework of vigor,organization,resilience and service,and to assess ecosystem health of Jiangsu at municipal-and county-levels in 2000,2005 and 2010.In addition,this thesis analyzes the difference of indicators,and combines the results of spatial analysis to analyze the changes of ecosystem health from spatial perspective,and to determine the main impact factors of each countyLast but not least,this thesis selects socio-economic indicators,such as GDP per capita,population density to find out the driving factors of ecosystem health,and explores the relationship between urbanization and ecosystem health at municipal-and county-levelsResearch suggests that the land use of Jiangsu province has undergone dramatic changes from 2000 to 2010,.The basic characteristics of the land use change in Jiangsu Province are the rapid growth of construction land area,the decrease of grassland,tidal land and bottomland,and the urbanization of rural land.The construction land was mainly transformed from grassland,agricultural land and reservoirThe ecosystem vigor,organization and service were getting better,but ecosystem resilience was getting worse.In a word,the ecosystem health in 2005 and 2010 was better than that in 2000.Health counties were mainly distributed in the central and Western and southern regions of Jiangsu Province,while unhealthy areas and counties were mainly distributed in the north and the Middle East.Specifically,health counties were mainly distributed in Hongze County,Xuyi county and Jinhu County of Huai'an City,Wujiang District of Suzhou City,Sihong County of Suqian City,Yixing City of Wuxi City,Baoying County and Gaoyou City of Yangzhou City,etc.Sick and unhealthy areas and counties were mainly distributed in Lianyungang City,Nantong City,Taizhou City,Xuzhou City,Yancheng City and Zhenjiang City,and the ecosystem health has a positive spatial agglomeration effectLast but not least,on the basis of the correlation analysis,we can see that population density has a significant negative impact on vigor,resilience and services Per capita GDP has a negative correlation with vigor and a significant positive correlation with ecosystem services.And there is a significant negative correlation between urban construction land area and ecosystem service.
