Firstly, from a social hot issues of concern that travel problems starting, leads tothe necessity of developing Integral Coach. Then from reality, discusses the IntegralCoach structure is relatively complex, and China's development of Integral Coach startedrelatively late, the relative lack of experience, so the development of Integral Coach is anarduous and urgent task in our country.The researching object of the paper is a Integral Coach long11meters come froma passenger automobile factory, which body is grating higher order staticallyindeterminate structure consist of section tube, power transmission is very complex. Thework is important to analysis the grating structure of the power transmission line andstructural topology. The research, using the finite element method combined with theactual usage of buses operating conditions defined in general bending condition and fourextremity twist conditions for passenger structural analysis. Extracting the stressdistribution and deformation of all kinds of condition, and checking the strength andstiffness of passenger. Stiffness can be found to meet the requirements, but in thepresence of stress intensity exceeds the allowable stress situation, the need to improve itsstructure. And in accordance with dynamic performance requirements had done modalanalysis, obtaining the structure of the top ten passenger order modal frequencies andmode shapes.In this paper, through the structure of the stress and strain analysis, researcherfound only through the stress distribution and deformation can not decide which one isthe main power transmission line. While improvements in the structure, though, throughstructural improvements in high stress areas can achieve a certain effect. But asmentioned above, integral coach is higher statically indeterminate structure.Improvement of local structures are affected other parts of the structure, but alone stresscontours can not determine the extent and scope of influence. And evaluation of themerits in the structure, the method can not give a quantitative evaluation criteria. Basedon the above facts, this study proposes using energy method for structural design andimprovement of passenger cars. By comparing the level of strain energy of eachcomponent can clearly determine which of a power transmission line as a major powertransmission line. Under both before and after the body structure to improve thedistribution of strain energy can determine the degree of influence of local structure andscope of improvement. And proposed theoretical evaluation of the merits of the busstructure that is under the same conditions, the vehicle stricture strain energy is smaller,more reasonable structure design.End of the paper analysis and comparison of two buses with a typical structure ofthe various parts of the strain energy. Came to the conclusion that the passenger has a strong frame structure withstand more loader in bending conditions, but the car has agrille structure frame of the bus with more torsion rigidity.
