The new electromechanical retarder is an auxiliary braking device,which integrated with mechanical,hydraulic and electrical control technology.The new electromechanical retarder have obvious differences with the electromagnetic eddy current retarder and hydraulic retarder in braking principle,installed structure,and performance requirements,although there are other teams had developed a braking performance test platform to test electromagnetic eddy current retarder,but the test platform is not suitable for testing the comprehensive performance of new electromechanical retarder.Therefore,a special test platform of new electromechanical retarder was developed to verify the braking principle of the new electromechanical retarder and get its comprehensive braking performance indicators.According to the national braking performance requirements of retarder and the characteristics of new electromechanical retarder,a general structure scheme of new electromechanical retarder test platform had be puts forward.The working principle,main features and technical parameters of this test platform are analyzed.Studied the inertia flywheel system of test platform,putted forward a loading mode which combined fixed flywheel with free flywheel,established the mathematical model of matching relation between inertia flywheel and vehicle weight.Analyzed the prestressed modal of maximum inertia flywheel system,and concluded that the first six frequencies and corresponding mode of flywheel system.The main interface of measure & control system of test platform was written by Labview software.Selected the sensor about speed,braking torque,temperature and gas pressure,discussed which testing principle and testing methods.Researched on the data acquisition system,signal conditioning system and save,read,print function of control system of test platform,and written the corresponding program.A vehicle which installed the new electromechanical retarder emergency braking model and constant speed downhill model is established.And based on the ADAMS technology,virtual simulated the testing process of test platform which tested on new electromechanical retarder of the emergency braking,get the braking comprehensive performance curve of new electromechanical retarder.The simulation results of new electromechanical retarder test on test platform coincide with the theoretical analysis,so the design is correct,and can meet the new electromechanical retarder performance under typical working conditions of the test.The test platform for the inertia of the flywheel is in the range of 90-280 kg ×m~2,which can automatic simulate the typical working conditions to test the performance requirements of new electromechanical retarder,and automatic achieve,analysis,display related data.The test platform provides a convenient test conditions for the design of new products of new electromechanical retarder,it has great significance to the comprehensive quality and improve the market competitiveness of products.
