Along with the advancement of urbanization,the scale of city is continues to expand,people’s living standard gets further improvement,mor e attention has been paid to the quality of residential environment.Especially in the hot-summer and cold-winter climatic zone,Residential environment has a direct impact on comfort and safety of people’s life,also affect building energy consumption lev el.As a result,people begin to attach importance to the micro-climate of residential area,including the wind environment around buildings,thermal environment,luminous environment and energy conservation,environmental protection,the quality of wind e nvironment around buildings become an important aspect of evaluation of the residential area’s environment.In order to improve the comfort of people’s life,maintain healthy and safe outdoor environment,that would be a great help if we research outdoor w ind environment of residential area,predict environmental influence,solve the wind environmental problems that exist in the stage of planning and designing,they are also the call of sustainable development for the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection.This study is based on the hot-summer and cold-winter climatic zone of our country,starts from the partition of climate area,characteristics of micro-climate around single building and relative comfort evaluation standards of wind environ ment,simulate outdoor wind environment of different residential community project with computational fluid dynamics software Air-Pak,through the comparison of distribution of wind speed,wind pressure and wind speed ratio at the height of 1.5 meters under various circumstances,conclude several elements of residential community’s planning which affect the outdoor wind environment(the height and density of buildings,wind direction angle,general layout mode,the shape of building,build on stilts or not,set the annex,greening arrangement),discuss some qualitative and quantitative relation between residential community planning and the effection of wind environment under specific climatic conditions;Secondly,summing up usual planning patterns of residential community with different capacity rate,simulate projects in different planning patterns with CFD software,analyze wind environment’s Characteristic of different planning patterns through the comparison of simulation results;Finally,propose suitable residential community planning patterns in different capacity ratio based on the wind environment,put forward the corresponding improvement measures to solve the wind environment problems exist in the process of residential community planning.In this study,with the method of numerical simulation,comparison,analysis,summary,the method and thinking of residential community planning based on wind environment are put forward and applied into the practical engineering,And I hope it will call the attention of relevant departments as well as common people.
