The information technology and the development of the Internet have facilitated the exchanges and integration of global politics,economics and culture.Due to the influence of globalization,the regional difference in architecture is gradually decreasing,and the local features of the cities and the architecture are disappearing.In order to resolve this "convergent crises",researching the regional architectural forms under specific cultural background,inheriting their traditional gene,and meeting the requirement of today's development at the same time having regional characteristics is the efficient way to resolve this crisis.To resolve this problem,architectural design field begins to advocate various kinds of regional and local design trends and conduct experimental exploration.However,in this process,the space of traditional architecture has not become a wide range of topics.Many of the works only do some superficial efforts,like direct collaging color,material and exaggerating symbolic elements and so on.In deep analysis,the problem mainly focuses on the following two points: 1 lack of abstracting deep structure characteristics from artistic concepts to analyze.2.The lack of in-depth study on "prototype",not on the spatial characteristics of the vocab ulary of prototype analysis,transformation and final works were compared to ancient and modern transpose provide reference shape.2.lack of deep analyzing on "prototype",and there is no analysis and converting on prototype of characteristic space and fail to compare the prototype with built architecture to provide morphologic reference for modern translation.The main purpose of this study is to analyze and refine the traditional academy from its deep structure perspective,and deep study the spatial proto type to solve the existing problems.In this study,the rational understanding was built by using literature review of traditional academy,and intuitive and perceptual knowledge was derived by using field study.The related cases were compared and analyze d and the Architectural Typology was used to obtain the prototype system and the research conclusion was obtained by summarizing.The main contents and results of this study include:(1)The background of this study and current research situation was analy zed and the existing problems were presented(2)The theory of architectural typology and complex interface were analyzed and the existing type conversion methods were expanded(3)The cases of traditional academy were analyzed,its functional types and form types were analyzed,the use function and spirit and culture that influence its spatial form were researched,and compared traditional academy with early education architecture in the West.(4)The prototype of traditional academy were analyzed by using architectural typology and the original prototype and derived prototype were obtained and compared with built architecture to obtain the method of transforming prototype to architecture,and the research result were practiced through architectural practice.This research chooses Chinese traditional academy as the object,and it is expected that the research results can help to inherit and develop academy space and bring inspiration to the construction of the contemporary architectural design practice with the characteristics of regional culture and localization.
