The Research Of Pavilion-style Buildings In Meishan Area

With the development of urbanization and socio-economic,in the process of the historical turn,many historic buildings have been destroyed or removed,which led to the gradual loss of traditional architectural culture,traditional architecture of Meishan area is also facing the situation.Pavilion-style building as an important type of traditional architecture,reflecting the unique charm of Chinese traditional architecture,it’s the perfect combination of art and technology.Mingled with people psychological and spiritual sustenance,pavilion-style building has always been the visual center of the entire architecture environment for its features and height,while its building structure also reflects the level of construction techniques from different historical periods.For a long time,research theories and achievements about pavilion-style buildings emerge in an endless stream,but studies about Meishan area pavilion-style buildings are rare,and generally found for individual typical case investigation,lacking of system study of architectural type and technical features of pavilion-style buildings in Meishan area.This paper takes pavilion-style building in Meishan area as the research object.Through the field investigation and research on the existing pavilion-style buildings of Meishan area,the paper summarizes the pavilion-style architectural characteristics of Meishan area,explores architectural forms under the background of specific culture in Meishan area,and taps its traditional architectural culture connotation,refining its regional features in the construction technology and art.And these studies are used in the practice of modern architecture,so that the architectural culture of Meishan has been well inherited and carried forward.This paper is divided into five sections.The first chapter and the second chapter are the background sections,describing the origin and definition of the pavilion-style architecture,the regional background of Meishan area and the overview and functional classifications of pavilion-style buildings in Meishan area.As the key section,the third chapter of this article researches about pavilion-style architectural features in Meishan area by systematically analysing them mainly from four aspects-the internal space form,the external shape language,building materials and construction,pavilion decorative art.The fourth Chapter combining with studies of the previous chapter,further analyses cultural artistic conception of pavilion-style buildings in Meishan area.The fifth chapter combines the theory with practice analysis,carrying on the concrete example analysis of the Pavilion-style buildings in the Meishan Cultural Park,including Wenchang Pavilion,Watchtower,and Wangfu Building.
