New Chinese Style Residential Architecture Research

People have been thinking about and practicing residential building since ancient times.With the opening of our Country since 20 th century,there has been a debate for the choice of remaining tradition or keeping innovation in architecture design.The development of Chinese residential architecture shows the influence of traditional culture for Chinese residential building.With the reform and opening up,China has been developing rapidly in politics,economy and culture.Communication between China and the world is increasing.Various architectural theories and thoughts flood into China in a short period of time.Architects begin to think what kind of residential buildings could not only reflect the Chinese native characteristics but also satisfy the life of modern people.The emergence of new Chinese style residential building gives the answer to it but it still has many problems.In the existing projects,the residential buildings mainly focus on the form of the building,that is,they extracted the design inspiration from the perspective of post-modern Semiotics.A few of them can grasp the idea from the overall artistic conception.But from the perspective of historical development,they still have positive significance.In this article,we learn from advanced design theories and practical achievements of Residential Buildings at home and abroad.It also makes reference to new Chinese style residential design.Based on the analysis of the form of design,we studied the nature of the design content.New Chinese style residential building is the combination of Age,geography,history and culture.The content of architecture is supported by space,Materials,technology and environment.In this article,we mainly study the aspects of living space,materials,technology and environment to find the origin of design,which will also guide the actual design and construction along with the progress and developments of era.
