Research and utilization of new energy sources has become the focus of attention around the world.In addition to hydropower technology,wind power is the most large-scale development of the most mature and most commercially promising way to produce electricity in renewable energy technology.Since the improvement of the ecological environment,the optimization of the energy structure,the promotion of sustainable social and economic development and other aspects of the prominent role,countries around the world are seeking to develop wind power generation and research its related technologies.The advantages and disadvantages of various wind generator is summarized in this thesis,and key design technology of permanent synchronous generator is analyzed and researched,according to the manufacturer requirements.A 2.935MW high-speed permanent magnet synchronous wind generator is designed in this thesis.Based on describing the generator's work environment in this thesis,the reactive power compensation device is designed when the permanent magnet synchronous generator load power factor is 1.Then the method of selection pole and slot combination,design of the stator slot size,design of the motor air gap's and the use of permanent magnet material is described in detail and finally the electromagnetic design is determined.And then,designing scheme including no-load analysis,simulation with load and three phase sudden short-circuit is analyzed by Ansoft Maxwell.The operation point of permanent magnet with maximum demagnetization is 0.3T as the generator breaking out three phase short-circuit,through the relevant equivalent checking calculation,no-load and output performances of the generator meets the designing requirements.In structure,the overall structure of this generator is designed,the magnet steel mounting arrangements adopts built-in radial type,this generator adopts the appropriate ventilation and cooling system which can limits the temperature rise within the specified value,natural frequency of the engine base is calculated and the strength of the shaft is checked using Ansys software.
