The traffic accidents caused by burst blow-out were in majority among all the continuous and high vehicle accidents on the highway,however,the main reason to the blow-out was the lower or higher pressure as well as the high temperature inside the tire.TPMS which can monitor the parameter such as the pressure,temperature and vehicle accelerated speed emerged as time require with the automobile electronic technology develop rapidly,when the pressure,temperature inside the tire was abnormal it can alarm and inform to the driver for guarantee traffic safety.At present,TPMS was mainly divided into PSB TPMS(Pressure-Sensor Based TPMS)and WSB TPMS(Wheel-Speed Based TPMS),and the PSB TPMS was dominant in the market.Because PSB TPMS's tire pressure sensor module was powered by battery,and it could not changed after manufactured,so the battery's working life decides the sensor's working life,for this reason,to decrease the power dissipation of the sensor has become a very important research subject.The paper setted about from the hardware and software in order to decrease the power dissipation of the tire pressure sensor,it selected lower power dissipation tire pressure sensor chip Freescale MPXY8300 at the hardware aspect,meanwhile,it put forward a kind of RF sending strategy algorithm at the software aspect.The result showed that the sensor 's working life reached to 10 years or so through system test and power dissipation modeling.Four aspects work as below was accomplished in this paper:Firstly,analyzed the PSB TPMS's operational principal and the power consumption of the system.The system composition of the system was introduced first which including two large divisions tire pressure sensor module and central receiving processor module;it's operational principal as well as the key technology such as PSB TPMS's wireless transmission link,method of information encoding,method of RF modulation,installation of tire pressure sensor module was mainly analyzed.The system power consumption was consumed by parameter measurement and RF modulation according to the analysis of the system consumption and power consumption data.Secondly,carried on the design of the lower power consumption at the hardware aspect.The chip Freescale MPXY8300 was selected finally through research the three popular tire pressure chip.Designed the less peripheral devices,lower power consumption tire pressure sensor circuit based on analyzed the function module such as the chip s RF emission,low frequency receiver,wake up timer,which lay the foundation for the software to achieve low power consumption.Thirdly,carried on the low power consumption design at the software aspect.A kind of RF sending strategy algorithm was designed.The algorithms could flexible control the measurement and RF emission frequency as well as decrease the two main power consumption resources,which decreased the system s total consumption effectively naturally.Meanwhile,the algorithm was achieved through the C program code.Fourthly,system test and calculation of the sensor's working life.Reliability test of tire pressure module take advantage of the balancing machine(simulation of vehicle)and algorithm validation.Calculating the tire pressure sensor's working life according to the battery power modeling and cell parameters.Low power consumption through hardware and software design and system testing and modeling calculations,the results of this paper show that the design can effectively reduce power consumption of the tire pressure sensors.
