As a kind of clean,cheap and abundant new energy,solar energy has been received much attention in recent years.The silicon(Si)solar cell is paramount importance in the using of the solar energy.The properties of the electrical conductive paste have great influence on the photovoltaic conversion efficiency(Eff)of monocrystalline Si solar cells.The organic medium is a very important part of electrical conductive paste.In this paper,three main performance parameters(viscosity,thixotropic index and volatile)of organic mediumfor electrical conductive paste(using at the front and the back electrode grid of Si solar cells)are systematically studied.First of all,through the researching of conditions for experimental,the best experimental conditions of the preparation of organic medium was been obtained.Making the solvents with high boiling point put in closed container and then join solid materials(thickener,thixotropic agents and lubricant)respectively in order at 110?in oil bath by stirring(make sure join the back of the solid before the front solid completely dissolved)and then cool them to room temperature.Secondly,the optimal formula of organic medium using at the front electrode grid of Si solar cells was been studied.The experimental results indicate that organic medium has appropriate viscosity(20 pa · s)and the highest thixotropic index(9.35)when its composition is as follows:solvents 80.00 wt.%,thickener 3.00 wt.%,thixotropic agents 8.00 wt.%,surfactant 3.00 wt.%and coupling agent 6.00 wt.%.Thirdly,optimal formula of organic medium using at the back electrode grid of Si solar cells was been studied.The experimental results indicate that organic medium has appropriate viscosity(20 pa · s)and the appropriate volatility when its solvents composition is as follows:butyl butyrate 36.67 wt.%,terpineol 32.67 wt.%,tributary citrate 12.67 wt.%.Lastly,the application of organic carrier was been researched and the appropriate weight percentage of organic carrier using at the front electrode grid of Si solar cells was been studied.Using this electrical conductive paste,the front electrode grid of Si solar cells has high ratio of height to width as well as fine edge definition.Meanwhile,the Eff of monocrystalline Si solar cells reach18.29%.
