| With the continuous improvement of living standards,more and more families need vehicles to meet their demand.At the same time,people are more attention to the issues of road traffic safety.According to statistics,human behavior accounted for 90% traffic accidents because of emergency decision making time delayed,which is much higher than rates of vehicles,roads and environment factors.Therefore,starting from the study of applications of the reaction time,discusses the importance to human life and analyzed the factors affecting driver,s reaction time,focus on three aspects of sex,alcohol and fatigue,researching these aspects impacted on the driver’s reaction time.The purpose of this paper is that to prevent or to reduce the incidences of traffic accidents and to ensure the safety of themselves and other people’s lives.Basis of the theoretical study we determine the design of testing device of driver’s reaction time: by using of MCU,man-machine interface and visual stimulation system as the main parts of hardware and configure with signal input,signal output and power supply unit circuits to constitute of the reaction time testing device.The results display and function management is completed through the manmachine interface module.While the MCU sending out signals,stimulate signals are generated randomly in no fixed time interval,then the reactors made the appropriate action to complete the test correctly and accurately.In addition to having test function for driver,s reaction time,the device but also with test functions for simple reaction time and choice reaction time.The device,s measuring range is 0.000 s to 9.999 s,the resolution is 0.001 s.After the successful development of this device,we test the reliability and accuracy of this device by organizing experiments among the students of safety engineering and got a positive result. |
