The multistage centrifugal pump is widely used in the industrial processes such as the running of auxiliary systems of thermal and unclear power plant and petrochemical production.With great variety of craft materials and harsh conveying condition,the requirement of performance and reliability of the multistage centrifugal pump is hard to meet in these industries.So far imported products and introduced foreign technology are still relied in some major projects.In order to meet the needs of some major projects and special application environment,reverse engineering and optimized design on some multistage centrifugal pump with excellent performance is necessary for the domestic independent research and localization.The subject combined with the development work of the Reverse Engineering of some condensed water pump entrusted by Si Chuan Chuan Gong industrial pump co.,Ltd.The critical theories and technologies,such as 3-D measurement,preprocess of points cloud,surface reconstruction and accuracy assessment of the reconstruction model,were researched and a multistage centrifugal pump reserve engineering with high efficiency and precision was developed.In order to optimize reconstructed model,its use was discussed in dimensional engineering drawing,the flow field analysis and structural analysis with engineering needs.The results provided an effective way for the integration of domestic self-developed innovations for such multistage centrifugal pumps and it could reduce costs,short the development cycle,improve the design feasibility.The specific research contents of this paper were as follows:(1)Based on laser triangulation method,wax modeling technique and auxiliary plane and mark points adding technology,a high quality and efficiency 3-D data acquisition methods for main flow components of multistage centrifugal pump with Creaform’s 3D hand-held laser scanner and VXscan software.(2)Accordance with the process,which is “removal of outliers based on string height and interactive method-align the impeller hub and the wax model data based on 3-point method-data repairmen based on tangent and curvature-smooth filtering based on comprehensive method-sampling simplify based on the curvature”,the points data was discussed.(3)The inducer blade reconstruction based on the “point-line-surface” method was discussed.Gaussian filtering and least squares method were used for quadratic smoothing.The points cross the streamline and meridian direction of the inducer blade were fitting.And the pressure and suction sides were reconstructed by the curves cross u,v direction based on skinning surface.(4)The impeller blades reconstruction based on “point-triangular mesh-surface patchsurface” method was discussed.The points cloud was triangulated by Delaunay method based on the max inner angle and cycle criteria.And the impeller blades were reconstructed following the process,which is “contour probe-contour segmentation and extension-fitting surface patch-blending surface”.(5)The back vane of radial guide vane reconstruction based on “points-triangular meshprimary parametric surface-surface” method was discussed.A parametric surface definition method of typical back vane of radial guide vane based on geometry was presented and the connections were fit with a process of “primary parametric surface boundary-splicing surface generation”.(6)In order to retrofit and optimize design on flow components,the use of reconstruction model of multistage centrifugal pump was discussed in dimensional engineering drawing,the flow field analysis and structural analysis.In summary,a multistage centrifugal pump reverse engineering method with high precision and efficiency was developed and was used in condensate pump development of a large-scale power plant.Based on some existing advanced multistage centrifugal pump,the 3-D model was reconstructed to restore the design ideas and extract the design parameter with reverse engineering,which is conducive to the development of high performance products.And as an effective integrated innovation approach,it was proven in greatly reduce costs,shorten the development cycle and improve design feasibility.In addition,the research methods and techniques can further promote in the design and manufacture of other fluid power machinery blade.
