More and more manufacturing companies chose to build multi-floor buildings to improve the land use efficiency.There's no systemaical guide for multi-floor buildings.Thus,it's necessary to design a systematic method for multi-floor layout design.This paper is mainly about design a systematic method of multi-floor layout design,and apply it on CJ company's new factory to verify the efficiency of this method.The main works are as followed:(1)Multi-floor layout design method design.Based on the conventional facility layout design process,we divide the method into 4 phases,data collection and analyse,units floor distribution,units location distribution,layout details design.(2)Multi-floor model design.For the second and third phases,we build a mathematical model,and use a genetic algorithm to solve it.(3)General layout design.Based on the multi-floor layout design method,and then we applied it on CJ company's new factory layout design project.Compared with layout designed by SLP,our method has a significant improve.(4)Layout detail design.Designed the CJ company's specific layout for every workshop based on the units' floor and location distribution results we got from phase two and three.This paper focus on the multi-floor layout problem,proposed a systematic method to solve it,provided guidance for those companies who need to design multi-floor building.But this paper still has some limits,future researcher can work on multi-floor layout problem without vertical transport tool limits or multi-floor layout problem with consider of lifts chose problem.
