Solar energy is a sustainable use of clean energy and electric tricycle is a wide range of large delivery vehicle,making use of solar energy for driving electric tricycle has a very important application value.This paper designs a solar energy physics tracking system for electric tricycle,which is used to charge its lithium battery by DC/DC converter.By improving the MPPT algorithm and solar dual axis tracking system,this system can make efficient use of solar energy,which can improve the endurance of PV electric tricycle.First of all,a 500 W electric tricycle,a 400 W rated solar panel,a 48V/20 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery,and a DC/DC controller with two-phase interleaved parallel circuit are the system components of the photovoltaic electric tricycle.Through the Simulink simulation of solar panels,we master the output characteristics of photovoltaic cells,which build the foundation for the research in the following chapters.16 kinds of dynamic characteristics of traditional MPPT P&O(perturbation observation)algorithm are analyzed,and an improved P&O algorithm which can avoid MPPT process tracking direction error and prevent excessive system oscillation is proposed.When the illumination intensity is abruptly changed,the improved P&O algorithm is simulated by Simulink,which proves the advantages of the improved MPPT algorithm.The improved MPPT algorithm can still track the maximum power point quickly and accurately to ensure that the solar panel can supply the power source to the PV electric tricycle stably when the radiation intensity changes strongly.Then,according to the practicability of the vehicle,the PV dual axis tracking system is designed for the electric tricycle,its structure is simple and make space for the vehicle load.According to the different driving state of photovoltaic electric tricycle and different weather conditions,a photoelectric-programmed tracking mode is proposed to maximize the solar energy utilization rate.Through the experiment,we measured the uniform distribution of the discharge depth and the voltage of the single cell,and verified the necessity of using the two groups of lithium batteries as the power supply for the photovoltaic electric tricycle.The experiment proves that the photovoltaic electric tricycle with the function of physical tracking can increase the generating capacity by about 50% and greatly increase the driving range of the PV electric tricycle.The experimental results show that the modified perturbation method can quickly and accurately achieve MPPT.Through experiments,the relationship between speed and power is given;under the condition of lithium battery continuous discharge 2 hours,the PV electric tricycle can drive about 50 kilometers away at speed of 25km/h.When the weather is fine,it can charge 2.4 k W·h one day which according to the calculation of photovoltaic power tricycle power generation,...
