With the widespread use of liquefied petroleum gas,coal gas and natural gas,the gas meter which measures the amount of gas is popular used in people's lives.Compared with the traditional diaphragm gas meter,ultrasonic gas meter has advantages of high accuracy,good reliability,strong real-time and the physical structure is the whole electronic structure.The use of ultrasonic gas meters will become a trend in the field of gas metering.However,the flow channel design of the ultrasonic gas meter involves less.The design of the flow channel of the ultrasonic gas meter directly affects the accurate measurement of the ultrasonic gas meter.It is necessary to study the flow channel design of ultrasonic gas meter.This paper selected U-shaped flow channel ultrasonic gas meter designed to meet the existing urban gas supply system.Based on the principle of time difference measurement,this paper theoretically studied the three aspects of the optimization of the bending diameter,the installation angle of the transducer and the influence of the roughness on the flow channel.The FLUENT software is used to analyze the U-shaped flow channel of seven different bending diaphragms,and the conclusion is drawn that the linearity is the best when the bending radius is 0.6d.In order to verify the conclusions of this paper,seven kinds of flow channels were 3D printed out and packaged into ultrasonic gas meter prototype.According to the gas meter calibration procedures,the test error of the prototype was tested on the sonic nozzle gas meter verification device.Test selected flow range 0.04m~3/h~6m~3/h.The error?repeatability and linearity of the ultrasonic gas meter under the seven kinds of flow channel were analyzed.The repeatability and linearity of the ultrasonic gas meter were the best when the diameter was 0.6d,which was in accordance with the simulation results.Due to the different correction coefficients of different flow points,the error correction system of upper computer was compiled by VB.Finally,the uncertainty of the ultrasonic gas meter prototype with a diameter of 0.6d was evaluated.By optimizing the bending diameter to complete the ultrasonic gas meter flow channel design,a feasible method to improve the accurate measurement of ultrasonic gas meter was provided.
