At present, the government is vigorously promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, which requires high precision tools to measure the resources and energy. The ultrasonic flow meter as a high precision fluid measurement tool will play a major role in this activity. But the technological level of domestic flow meter is not high enough, and its precision and reliability is worse than foreign products. How to improve the capacity of designing the flow meter independently depends on the theory and research. In this study, based on a ultrasonic flow meter which has been applied, the influence of the ultrasonic reflection device on the flow characteristic of the transit time ultrasonic flow meter was researched and the relevant results and optimize proposal were given. Then some new styles of flow meter were given. So these have a certain significance on designing the flow meter.Methods mainly adopted in this text include theory analysis and numerical simulation. Experiment as a supplementary mean was used to prove the correctness of numerical simulation. Theory analysis plays a guidance and supplement role for the calculation. Based on the existing experiment of CFD, three-dimensional value simulation was made to the transit time ultrasonic flow meter which had the ultrasonic reflection device in the channel. So the K coefficient of the ultrasonic flow meter and its standard deviation were obtained. Then the research on how arm size, arm angle, reflector projected area, reflector shape, two reflectors'wheelbase and the structure of channel influence flow characteristics in the base meter was made. Depending on the research, optimize proposal of the base meter was obtained. In addition to this, how to choose the optimal sound path was also researched, and three new types of ultrasonic flow meter were given too.In this text, a lot of maps were obtained by numerical simulation. And these maps intuitively showed flow field of the ultrasonic flow meter with the ultrasonic reflection device in its base meter. By analysis, some methods on how to improve the flow field's quality were found.This paper which researched the influence of the ultrasonic reflection device on the flow characteristic of the transit time ultrasonic flow meter provided relevant principle and guidance on the aspect of designing ultrasonic flow meter and improving its precision. And it filled the gap that domestic in this field at present to a certain extent.
