In recent years,in the fields of information collection and distribution network automation,for EPON technology applications in smart grid electricity are increasing year by year.Its efficiency and accuracy has been recognized by the industry.At the same time,with the acceleration of digital power grid construction,some new real-time monitoring and control system,such as the grid prevention and control of online prediction system,Wide Area Measurement System,wide area Measurement analysis protection system and so on,time synchronization needs more urgent.Therefore,it is necessary to study having a strong commonality in the smart grid and power system applications based on EPON technology and high-precision clock synchronization technology.At present,the time synchronization in the power system is in a state of "self governance".It means that each system configuration gets independent system clock time,which greatly reduces the reliability of the power system clock system;at the same time,in the power system,the system clock accuracy requirements are also increasingly urgent.Although,the accuracy limits of the current clock synchronization technology for a few ms,which still cannot meet the electricity network time synchronization most application requirements.Based on this,the characteristics of electric power communication network are combined,clock synchronization module for the power of the whole network is developed.The main work and results are as follows:1.Construction of the Precision Time Protocol(PTP)module.The IEEE 1588 protocol is divided into two parts,in which the basic functions of the protocol by the hardware design,set the clock parameters,and floating-point operations and other management software assist.2.solve the delay problem.PTP module switches requires transparent transmission of IEEE 1588 protocol scenarios,refer to IEEE 1588 protocol TC model for problem solving delay packets reside in the middle of the site caused by the elimination of network equipment inside delay uncertainty.3.EPON system relay.This study considers IEEE 1588 transparently pass through EPON system,combined with EPON MPCP systems ranging in ONU side of the clock to compensate.4.PTP modules for application in the power system-wide network.In the power system,PTP module can be applied to the total front room GPS clock synchronization for all network devices between the terminal device.
