There are a lot of ions in space, that are closely related to all kinds of space weather phenomena.Electrostatic analyzer and time-of-flight mass spectrometer are the mainstream instruments for energy and mass measurement, that have been used in many space exploration missions. The paper focuses on the development of ion analyzer which combines electrostatic analyzer and time-of-flight mass spectrometer and have carried out two tasks. The first work is to simulate and design the reflective and with linear electric field time-of-flight mass spectrometer of the half-space-entrance and wide-spectrum ion analyzer for solar wind. The performance parameters of the reflective and with linear electric field time-of-flight mass spectrometer are given by simulation. The second work is to design and develop the ground calibration system of the low energy space ions analyzer. The system contains variously auxiliary functions for analyzer calibration experiments. This paper can be divided into five chapters:In the first chapter, the particle environment in space and the requirements for scientific detection of space particles are introduced. At the same time, the common error sources of space particle detection are analyzed briefly. In the second chapter, the knowledge of particle analyzer is discussed and summarized.Firstly, the basic ideas and processes of detection are briefly explained, and then various kinds of commonly used particle analyzers are introduced. The third chapter is the simulation and design of the reflective and with linear electric field time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The structure and voltage of the mass spectrometer are drawn up in this chapter, and the ability of distinguishing different particles in space are studied. At the same time, the key parameters of the mass spectrometer are determined, and the functional relations between the parameters are established. The results show that the design meet the requirements of space particle detection and can provide guidance for the practical development and application of mass spectrometer. The fourth chapter is about the design and development of the ground calibration system for the low energy space ions analyzer. The system can simulate the space plasma environment required for the calibration experiment of the analyzer. And it has some auxiliary functions for the calibration experiment such as vacuum chamber pressure monitor, ion beam current attenuated and paralleled treatment, ion beam monitor(section distribution monitored, strength monitored and energy monitored). The experimental results show that the functions and performance indexes of the ground calibration system meet the design requirements. The fifth chapter is the summary and prospect the article.
