As the first line of dam safety,revetment engineering plays a key role in flood control and flood discharge.And it can reduce water and soil erosion on the dam effectively.Revetment engineering is a key project of national governance.At the present stage,the natural stone used for the traditional block stone revetment is growing scarce,and there are many problems with other commonly used types of revetment such as poor stability,complicated manufacturing and installation process and large investment.Therefore,it is extremely urgent to study a new type of emergency dam reinforcement which can satisfy the requirement of river flood stability and have ecological and environmental protection function.According to the combination of theoretical calculation and indoor laboratory test,this paper designs a H-type gravity-support steel slag core concrete revetment block which have excellent interlocking effect and use environmentally friendly materials.The strength of new block and the integrity of its composition surface are studied by experiment and numerical simulation.The details are as follows:(1)Adopting indoor test method,the optimum shell thickness used for the new block is 6cm.And it has verified that the composite structure of ordinary concrete and steel slag core has a good integrity.In the process of pressure test,the shell and the core work together to resist pressure.(2)A H-type gravity-support steel slag core concrete revetment block is designed.By setting the concave-convex structure,the block interlocking effect is enhanced by mutual gravitational interaction between blocks.The structure is a steel slag core encased in 6cm thick ordinary concrete shell.The substitution rate of the steel slag of individual block to conventional aggregate can reach to 25%,and its environmental protection is quite considerable.(3)A new type of block was prefabricated.The block strength meets the engineering requirement through the core-drilling test.It also verified the good integrity of composite structure of concrete shell and steel slag core.(4)According to the test platform for Chain block integrity,detecting the overall stability of the surface layer of the new block.At the same time,testing two traditional blocks to compare with it.It turns out:The displacement of three kinds of block is basically consistent with the trend of pressure change.H-type gravity-support steel slag core concrete revetment block has a chain effect superior to the traditional block.The overall cooperation of the surface layer is more significant.The loading extremum is about 3.18 times and 3.33 times larger than that of the traditional block 1's and traditional block 2's surface load.This fully demonstrates that H-type gravity-support steel slag core concrete block surface has excellent stability.The results of numerical simulation analysis confirmed that H-type gravity-support steel slag core concrete revetment block's overall stability is better than that of the traditional block and were consistent with the test results.Selecting the optimal arrangement of new blocks as the vertical arrangement of the flanges.
