Violent earthquake generated huge damage to building structures in recent decades,pulse-type ground motion was one of the most remarkable characteristics,and the most common was the velocity pulse-like movement,which caused great impact to engineering structures.It is of great practical significance to identify the pulse-like ground motion from the actual earthquake motion,reasonably carry out the seismic design of the near field structure,and research the effect of pulse-type ground motion on the seismic performance of the structure.Aiming at these problems,this paper took RC framework structure as the research object and conducted the following researches:(1)We introduced the quantitative recognition of pulse-type ground motion,the traditional seismic record selection method and the seismic responses characteristics of structures under the action of pulse-type ground motion,and the following research contents of the study were recommended.(2)Based on 800 pieces of horizontal seismic records selected from the Pacific earthquake engineering research center strong earthquake databases,from perspective of the acceleration response spectrum,the effects of epicenter distance,PGV/PGA ratio and magnitude on the response spectrum characteristics of horizontal acceleration were studied.A selecting method of pulse-type ground motion which considered the epicenter distance,PGV/PGA ratio and magnitude the three indicator s simultaneously was put forward.And the influences of site category,magnitude and PGV/PGA ratio on the pulse-type seismic response spectrum characteristics were studied,we selected 152 pieces of pulse-type ground motion,fitted acceleration response spectrum by the least squares method,and compared it with the standard spectrum.(3)The basic concept and analysis idea of Pushover analysis method and basic theory of capability spectrum method were introduced.According to select principle of ground motion raised in chapter 2,we chose 20 pieces of earthquake records in the near field pulse-type earthquake,the middle-far field pulse type and ordinary middle-far field earthquake,respectively.The acceleration response spectra of three types of seismic records were compared,after fitting pulse seismic response spectrum,it was transformed into demand spectrum.Finally,SAP2000 was used to evaluate the seismic performance of the designed RC frame structures with 4,10 and 14 layers based on Pushover analysis,and we studied the effect of pulse earthquake on seismic performance of reinforced concrete frame structure.(4)The amplitude-value spectrum characteristics of the three types of seismic records were compared by selecting 20 near-field pulsed earthquakes,20 medium-far field pulsed earthquakes and 20 ordinary middle-far field earthquakes,respectively.The selected three groups of seismic waves were used as input and SAP2000 was used to conduct IDA analysis on the designed three types of frame structur es with 4,10 and 14 layers.The seismic response characteristics of RC frame structures under the action of near-field pulsed earthquakes,medium-far field pulsed earthquakes and ordinary middle-far field earthquakes were studied.
