| The existence of human depends on space and time.There are three approaches applicable for the research of talents,including human geography,human biology and culture.Painter is a kind of talents mentioned in numerous talent-research works since Francis Galton’s Hereditary Genius.The Dictionary of Chinese Artists(1875)by Yu Jianhua can be the preliminary stage and provided basis material for future research.The world has entered into a Big Data Era.IT is fusing into politics,economy,culture,military,life and other aspects of human society while forcing plenty of data source.The data ensconces vast information;meanwhile the information contains rich knowledge and intelligence.In this context.’The Artists Flow’,a large online space-time visual design platform,is created for building the geographical distribution research of Chinese artists,and offering data for users to explore related projects.This subject involves database construction,front-end programming,and data association research of platform,human geography and artist sociology research based on the platform.This article is mainly to research the front-end display design of Chinese artists geographic distribution and migration visualization platform(’The Artists Flow’).There are following research perspectives:1)Defining the meaning,innovation point and scope of research with literature review of space-time data visualization and art geography.2)Analyzing interaction design and visual design of Chinese artists geographic distribution and migration visualization platform(’The Artists Flow’),includes:1.Defining interaction framework,flow diagram and frame diagram based on user’s goal orientation design.2.Designing and stating the mapping data of model design using map model.3.Emphasizing selecting elements from numerous traditional Chinese patterns and ancient maps,and extracting for re-creating.Since the contents of research are based on Chinese art history,all patterns in this visual design are with related references.4.Widely using traditional Chinese colors,including gray,azurite,mica-white and dark-black in color building for Chinese-style differential design.5.Drawing China map applying D3.js and expounding the front-end technology idea of ’The Artists Flow’.3)Discussing the future development of visual platform,presenting the meanings and functions of ’The Artists Flow’,and presenting the great value of big data’s scientific development for Chinese art history. |
