Nowadays,under the circumstance of continuous improvement of car usage environment,the good impact safety performance of the vehicle is the best safety protection for the driver.Therefore,it is important to study how to enhance the safety of the side impact of the car.In this paper,under the requirements of the new version 2018C-NCAP side-impact test,the author use the model simulation method to optimize and improve the side-impact safety performance,combined with the actual car crash test data and simulation test results.First of all,using CATIA and Hyperworks software to build the side touch test simulation model.The side-impact test simulation model includes a car body model,a moving barrier,dummy models,seat models and seat belt models.The validity of the model is verified by comparing the simulation results of the side-impact simulation test with the actual vehicle test data.Then the validity of the model is verified.Then,the simulation results of the side-impact test are summarized.Through the detailed analysis of the collision process of the vehicle,it is found that the car body structure does not achieve the desired effect.Try to fulfill the goal of optimization and improvement of the car door crash beam and the B-pillar in order to improve side impact safety performance.Finally,utilizing the better material properties of the new material PHS steel(B1500HS),it is applied to the optimization and improvement of B-pillar to improve its side-impact safety performance.With the reasonable arrangement of the orthogonal test and the analysis of the results of the range analysis method,find out the most reasonable combination of the structural parameters of the car door crash beam.Because the cross-sectional shape is the most important factor on the side-impact performance of the car door crash beam.We need a further study about the cross-sectional shape of the car door crash beam.Use the best cross-sectional shape of the car door crash beam to improve the car safety ability and enhance the overall improvement of protective effect.At last,the effectiveness of the proposed optimization method in this paper will be verified by contrasting the test results with the original model test data.
