Sluices in coactal regions have the functions of tidal blocking, waterlogging drainage and so on,providing a significant security for the economical and social development and people’s lives in coastal regions. However, the durability problem of the sluices in coastal regions caused by the complexity of the sluices’ working environment has aroused extensive concern. On one hand, various components of sluices tend to be broken or obsoleted and injury which affects durabily has caused serious adverse effects on the normal service life span and security of reinforced concrete structure. On the other hand, there is a technical delay on the safety condition evaluation which combines both local environmental characteristics and engineering practice experience. Thus it is highly necessary to conduct the study on the service performance of sluices. The main contents of this study is summarized as follows:(1)The influence factor of operational risks of sluice projects in coastal regions was explored and the property and harm of coastal soft soil foundation was analyzed. Moreover, useful methods for the management of soft soil foundation were discussed. The study on reaction mechanism of concrete carbonation, chlorid ion penetration and alkali-aggregate reaction was probed into, thus their damage to the concrete durability could be analyzed. Finally, the damage category of erosion and freeze thawing effect of sea water was introduced.(2)The practical and theoretical settlement values of coastal sluices were calculated according to the measured settlement data of sluices in service and the finite element software-ABAQUS.The fxponential curve method, hyperbolic method and grey model GM(1,1)forecast method were applied to predict the settlement tendency through coastal sluice cases. The precision comparison of the results calculated by the aforementioned three methods was conducted, which helps analyze the feasibility of predicting settlement values of coastal sluices.Analysis and calculation of the sluice crest elevation and energy dissipation were performed in order to analyze the effect of settlement on the structure.(3)Based on the measured carbonation values of coastal and inland sluices, through the study on the carbonation tendency under the function of different carbonation times and the carbonation values of different components, the difference of carbonation rule for coastal and inland sluices was analyzed. The carbonation prediction model was established based on the measured values and carbonation speed of the traffic bridge on sluices was analyzed. The concrete carbonation depth prediction model was applied to carry out a carbonation durability analysis for the reinforced concrete structure, thus deriving the structural carbonation life span from the probability aspect.(4)Sluice risk factor system was established. The improved matching fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, weighted least square method and the weigh calculation method of service risk factors sluice projects through projection pursuit method based on the genetic algorithm were applied to study the definition, numerical characteristics, calculation criterion and the relevant theories concerning the algorithm of forward cloud generator and backward cloud generator.Sluice risk analysis model was established based on the cloud model so as to provide theoretical basis for the managers to decide whether to continue to maintain sluice operation.
