When the social progress and the improvement of living standards, people are more and more concerned about their own health, and the requirements of comfort in air-conditioned rooms are also raised accordingly.Creating a good comfortable environment,a large amount of energy is needed. In order to reduce energy consumption and improve human comfort, personalized conditioning system has aroused the interest of many researchers, but the comfort analysis and energy consumption research of the combination of radiation cooling and the task-ambient air conditioning is still unclear. This paper aims to study the comfort of human and the energy consumption in hot-humid environments with a new radiant cooling workstation and fan system. In this paper, the experiment was carried out to study the human comfort and energy consumption with the radiant cooling workstation and fan.The experiment was based on the experimental group and two groups of control groups. The control group1 was a single fan and the control group 2 was a conventional air conditioner. In total24 subjects(12 males and 12 females, all participants were undergraduate or graduate students)participated in the experiments and reported their thermal sensation, thermal comfort, thermal acceptability and thermal preference and so on in the hot-humid environments at 26?28 and 30? in an environmental chamber. In this paper,SPSS statistical software was used to compare the differences of comfort of the subjects with the radiant cooling workstation and fan,the single fan and the conventional air conditioner. At the same time, the evaluation model of human body thermal sensation is established by stepwise regression method. In addition, the model of the experimental room is established, the energy consumption of the system is simulated by EnergyPlus software, and the energy consumption of the radiant cooling workstation and fan system is simply measured and calculated, and the two are compared and analyzed. The obtained results show that the radiant cooling workstation and fan system significantly improved the thermal comfort of subjects in the hot-humid environments.Subjects could still well maintain neutral thermal sensation condition although indoor environment was as high as 30? while the relative humidity was 80%.Meanwhile,the evaluation model of human body thermal sensation established by stepwiseregression method shows that the upper limb thermal sensation has the greatest influence on the whole body thermal sensation, followed by the head. The experimental results also show that when using the radiant cooling workstation and fan system, the air conditioning system can achieve energy savings of approximately9% for every 1? increase in the ambient setting temperature. Therefore, the radiant cooling workstation and fan system can extend comfortable temperature range in summer. This study provides a new way for maintaining comfort in non-neutral environment and saving energy in buildings.
