On the occasion of the replacement of the century,the 1950 s and 1960s-born Chinese architects began to play an important role in the field of architecture.Even some of them gradually emerges on the international stage.The Cultural Revolution caused the stagnate of China’s university education.After 1977,students can take part in the college entrance examination again,and the 1950 s and 1960s-born Chinese architects entered university and accepted a complete and continuous university education.In 80 s,China began to establish the contact to the world.The spread of the information became extraordinary convenient,so the continuous foreign architectural information poured into China.This period is so crucial for them that they accepted architectural enlightenment education and formed their own architectural pursuits and characteristics at the age of 20.Participating in the architectural design competition became a trend at that time,and they performed actively.Some of them won the prize in the competition and left their names on the list,which symbolized the beginning of their architectural creation career.Twenty years later,the winner of the competition has grown into the backbone of China’s contemporary architecture.This paper takes the architectural design competition domestic and abroad as a breakthrough point.Select 20 people from the winning list to analyze the age background,educational background and practice background.Then this paper focus on the achievements of 20 architects in the following 20 years in different social status.This is the premise of the research summary.The paper starts with the competition when they are 20 years old.Take the 20 architects,as the research object,summarizing the contributions made by the 20 architects in the field of architecture in 20 years and setting an example for the new generation of architects.In the end,we will look forward to the future development of Chinese architecture with a forward-looking perspective.The main contest of the thesis is divided into three parts.In the first part,the first chapter mainly defines the research contents as "20 years,20 persons and 20 years",and identifies the research methods,significance and innovation points,as well as the research framework.In the second part,the three chapters in the middle take three "20" as the main line.First,we review the universities of the 1950 s and 1960s-born Chinese architects at their twentieth,and analyze the trend of their competition at the time.According to the influence of different architectural trend of thought,the author analyses their architectural competition works.Then this paper selects 20 architects from the winning list of the competition to analyze their time background,educational background and practice background.Finally,it analyzes the achievements made by 20 architects in different social status after 20 years.In the third part,the fifth chapter includes the summary and prospect.First,this paper summarizes the contributions made by the twenty architects in the field of architecture,and analyzes the problems of the development of modern Chinese architecture.Then it summarizes the impact of the 20 architects on young architectural students,and looks forward to the future development of Chinese architecture.
