The signal intersection is an important node between road connection and roads in the city traffic.It's also the rallying point of traffic problems like traffic conflict.The capacity of city intersection affects the passing-through capacity of the whole city road network.What's more,For the rainy cities,It's significant in system completion of traffic management and control by research the passing-through capacity of the signal intersection.In this paper,two typical signal intersections in Fuzhou city are taken as research objects.Based on the previous research results,taking rainfall conditions as the starting point,rainfall information and traffic related data of signal intersections are obtained through investigation and research to study the capacity and related parameters of city signal intersection under the influence of different rainfall conditions via mathematical statistics analytical methods.Specific research results are as follows:Firstly,the representative signalized intersections are selected as the research object;the related rainfall data of intersections are obtained by investigating the information from Fuzhou Meteorological Bureau and the video recording of the headway of vehicles crossing the signal intersections,and according to the size of rainfall to classify rainfall;The data needed for the research were integrated and the basic data were sorted by vehicle type and steering mode to obtain the date of saturated headway character under different rainfall grades.By indipendent t-text of adjacent vehicles,considers the headway going to fixedness from the sixth vehicle after green lights.Second,combining the HCM method and the measured data to calibrate the parameters that affect the traffic capacity of the signal intersection under rainfall conditions.And the mathematical statistic method of spss software is used to analyze the impact of different rainfall conditions and steering mode on vehicle headway,saturated flow rate and the effective split.Using correlation analysis to draw the corresponding fitting curve and the corresponding regression equation,and the recommended values of the headway,the saturated flow rate and the start loss time corresponding to the four rainfall grades are given.In the end,the traffic capacity calculation model of signal intersection considering rainfall is compared with the original traffic capacity model to prove its pertinence and applicability,which can provide a reference for improving city road traffic management and control system in accordance with.
