Study On The Application Of The Gardening Technique Of Classical Jiangnan Garden In Residential Space Design

With the development of the times and the progress of society,people’s living standards are also getting higher and higher.In the present society where material life is increasingly abundant,people are pursuing for a spiritual life of higher level.The ever-rising pace of city life exhausts people which makes people want to get away from the city and closer to nature.This ideal is exactly the most important spiritual idea of the classical Jiangnan Garden.In the modern society,the rise of homestay in the tourism industry coincides with this notion.This article takes the application of landscape gardening of the classical Jiangnan Garden in the homestay space as the entry point,and discusses the relationship between classical Jiangnan Garden and homestay in space design and cultural heritage from different perspectives.First of all,through the investigation of the current situation of homestay and the study of landscape gardening of the classical Jiangnan Garden,it found that they have common points in the process of cultural heritage,both in terms of external forms and spiritual connotations.This laid the foundation for the study of this article.Secondly,after reviewing the relevant documents and combining with case studies,it summarized the basic gardening elements and techniques of the classical Jiangnan Garden and analyzed its application in homestay space design.Then the design application method summarized was verified in the design of Tongling homestay as an example.The inheritance of the landscape gardening of the classical Jiangnan Garden in the homestay space design was further studied,and this heritage was deepened in the form and cultural connotation.The excavation finally categorized five aspects,namely color refinement,element symbols,landscape gardening,material applications,and ideological inheritance.This article will discuss and application of the landscape gardening of the classical Jiangnan garden in homestay space design and the cultural heritage embodied in the design from the five aspects.By referring to the gardening elements and techniques of the classical Jiangnan Garden,the author integrates the traditional culture contained in the classical Jiangnan Garden into the design of the homestay space which then will reflect cultural connotation of the classical Jiangnan Garden everywhere in both design form and cultural heritage.The author believes that in the future design,integration like this should be explored more in depth,creating homestay spaces with regional cultural characteristics and ethnic characteristics,and inheriting traditional culture while continuing to develop.
