Research On Space Transformation And Functional Expansion Design Of Existing Libraries In Colleges And Universities

With the continuous development of high-speed economic construction in our country,the contradiction between the space function setting and the using function has been gradually exposed in the course of the use of many university libraries built in the last century.This paper aims at improving the learning and research environment of university teachers and students,and probes into the principles and methods of space transformation and functional expansion of existing libraries in colleges and universities.Firstly,this paper expounds the macro background of the development of colleges and universities and the development of university libraries,and systematically analyzes the origin of the space transformation and function expansion of the existing libraries in colleges and universities.This paper puts forward the necessity and feasibility of the renewal of the existing libraries in colleges and universities.By analyzing the problems existing in the existing libraries in colleges and universities,and combining the present situation of the existing libraries in colleges and universities,it is pointed out that the space transformation and functional expansion of the existing libraries in colleges and universities are the important ideas for the renewal of the library buildings.Combined with the exploration of the renewal and transformation of the existing libraries at home and abroad,this paper discusses the strategies of environmental response and the carrying and continuation of the campus context,the renewal of the library functions and the reconstruction of the spatial image.This paper analyzes and summarizes the concrete principles andmethods of the renewal design of the existing libraries in colleges and universities in terms of the support of the new technology for the renewal design of the existing libraries in colleges and universities.Combined with the renewal design of Peking University Medical Department Library,this paper further probes into the methods to perfect the renewal and reconstruction design of the existing university library in practice,in order to put forward a more scientific and popularized and applied design model.
