Research On Micro-renewal Of Existing Campus Environment In Colleges And Universities

College campuses have constantly assumed the function of providing a good place and creating a good atmosphere for teachers and students to study,live,research and organize various activities.They have a profound effect on cultivating students' comprehensive quality in the sense of morality,intelligence,physical fitness,anesthetics and labor,improving the inherent quality of the teaching work as well as the scientific research,enhancing the teachers' and students' sense of belonging and identity,establishing the university education brand and enhancing the connotation of campus culture.However,with the development of social economy,the construction of campus is growing vigorously,and the transformation of old campus is just in the ascendant.In this process,the existing transformation is in lack of the consideration of parameters including cost saving,environmental protection,unique features and cultural inheritance,therefore the ideas of traditional renewal need to be transformed urgently.The issue regarding how to inherit and carry forward the cultural connotation and features of campus environment,and effectively meet the functional needs of the social development,has increasingly attracted the extensive attention of the professionals,experts and scholars.The micro-renewal mode advocates the renewal of small scale,with small investment involved and environment in a micro-space sense,focusing on design in details and cultural reproducibility.In recent years,the said model has been effectively applied and tested in the street district improvement and city renovation,which has also the significance for serving as a reference the renewal of the existing campus environment in colleges and universities.Therefore,this paper takes the existing campus environment of universities as the research object,with the micro-renewal theory as the core,to put forward the contents and Strategies of micro-renewal practice of existing campus environment of universities,aiming at promoting the sustainable development,cultural heritage and inheritance of the existing campus environment of universities;and by taking Lingshui Campus of Dalian University of Technology as an example,to lead the theoretical research to the concrete empirical research.The paper is divided into four parts with five chapters included.The first part raises the questions,elaborates on the issues such as the research background,the purpose and significance and the research methods.Meanwhile it clarifies the research content and technical route according to the previous research and the grasp of the current situation of theexisting campus environment in colleges and universities.The second part analyses the problems.It discusses firstly the evolution and development of the campus environment and the definition of the existing campus environment.Secondly,the theory of environmental micro-renewal is summarized progressively,with its characteristics and connotation being clarified.Then,the application and advantages of the micro-update model in the existing campus environment are elaborated.The third part is to solve the problems and discuss the practical contents and strategies of the research on micro-renewal of the existing campus environment in colleges and universities.This paper explores the theoretical basis of micro-renewal,clarifies the practical principles and procedures of micro-renewal,and then formulates the practical strategies of micro-renewal in four aspects: the spatial function,the landscape form,the ecological conditions and the humanistic spirit.The fourth part is the case study.Through the project profile and the exploration of micro-renewal scheme of the specific plots,it verifies the theory and examples,and provides a strong demonstration of the real image for this study.In the conclusion,the paper makes an overall statement of the research,summarizing the innovation as well as the shortcomings and limitations of this study,and makes further prospects for the development of this field.Through the research on the strategy of micro-renewal of the existing campus environment in colleges and universities,this paper enriches the theory and practice system of the transformation of the existing campus environment in colleges and universities to a certain extent,with the deficiencies being made up for the current research,so as to provide reference for relevant research and practice.
