Space construction has always been the main process of landscape design.With the improvement of people's aesthetic appreciation and quality of life,the importance of the space construction of plants has been paid more attention.The prominent feature of plants space is its four-dimensionality.Changes in plant growth with time result in changes in the space definition,which in turn leads to different spatial perceptions.At present,researches on landscape plants at home and abroad have gradually converted from perceptual cognitive research to rational data analysis.Most of them focus on the data quantification of the whole plant space.However,there are few studies on the effects of a certain type of plant growth on space construction.In this study,focusing on the emergent aquatic plants with significant changes in the phenophase,the author selected the representative,common,and operable reeds,cattails,re-flowers and common plants of the typical emergent plants in Jinan.Through field research,the research environment where the research object is located is determined.A two-year growth data record of the height and density of the research object was used to explore the extent of spatial limitation of the four emergent aquatic plants on a certain scale,and the spatial limitation of the four emergent aquatic plants was compared and analyzed.Then the conclusion of the spatial limitation's strength was obtained.Moreover,the author discussed the application of the conclusion.The full paper is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction,confirming the research content.Explain the research purpose and significance of the research,sort out related theoretical knowledge,clarify the specific content and research methods,and explain several key points involved in the research;The second chapter is to confirm the plants which are served as the research object and record data.Through field research and literature retrieval,the principle of selection of research objects was determined,and the main contents of data collection of research objects,collection methods,and description methods of data records were determined.The third chapter examines the determination of the research objects' environment and screens the objective environment according to the principles of objectivity,consistency,and representativeness,then determines the Yingxue Lake of Shandong Architectural University in the eastern of the city,the Xiaodong Lake of Daming Lake in the central of the city,and The capital of the provincial theater of the western of the city as the environment of the research objects.In each of the three research environments,there are four single-plant communities of the research objects,and the conservation management is reasonable.The scale range,topography,and vegetation are all very similar.The fourth chapter analyzes the individual sample data and summarizes the single plant height and density data.After summarizing the data,the spatial limitation of individual research objects was analyzed and summarized.The fifth chapter compares the space limitations of the four emergent aquatic plants and compares the data in the previous chapter.The horizontal and vertical comparisons of the height and density data of the four emerged plants resulted in the conclusion that under the two factors of height and density,of the selected four kinds of emergent aquatic plants,the reed is the most effective spatial limitation,the loosestrife has the weakest effective spatial limitation,the cattails and thalia dealbata are located between the two above.The sixth chapter is to summarize and outlook.Summarizing the main conclusions,and discusses its application.The results of space limitation of the four kinds of emergent aquatic plants are summarized and concluded one by one,applied to the design of landscape space,then the preliminary discussion is made on how to select the emergent aquatic plants and their genus plants in landscape design according to requirements of different space creation.
