With the continuous advancement of electronic and intelligent technologies in the field of automotive safety technology,automotive safety technologies have entered a new developing stage.With merging of active safety and passive safety technology,pre-crash safety system has attracted more attention and widely used in vehicle safety technology.And it applies the research results of active safety,identification of the impending collision will be performed to pre-triggered the airbag and improve the protection performance of the occupant.At present,few studies on the effect to the pre-triggering airbags to protect the driver are reported.Therefore,in this paper,the influence of the pre-triggering airbag on the driver's injury was analyzed,100% full frontal impact and 40% offset frontal impact.The main research contents are as follows:First,driver side restraint system simulation model during frontal crash was built.According to the test data obtained from the actual vehicle crash test,the dummy posture and injury curves of the occupant model were correlated.The simulation model results show that the dummy posture was in good agreement with the test results.In addition,the acceleration and force curves of every part were well matched with the experimental results,and the error of the test data is within the allowable range.The model of occupant restraint system can be used for subsequent simulation research.Secondly,the sensitivity analysis of airbag and seat belt parameters in occupant restraint system was carried out.The parameters of the restraint system which have great influence on the dummy were selected.The influence of airbag parameters on head injury,chest deformation and weighted injury index was analyzed.The results show that the gas mass flow rate,the volume scaling factor,the size of the vent area,the time of the airbag triggering and the limit load of the seat belt have a great impact on the damage of the dummy.Under dual frontal impact cases,as the gas mass flow rate increases and the size of vent area decreases,the head injury value and the weighted injury index of the dummy decrease,and the deformation of the chest increases.The volume scaling factor has no obvious change in the injury of the dummy.With the advance time of airbag triggering,the head injury value and weighted injury index of dummy head first decrease and then increase,and the chest deformation decreases.Finally,the optimal design of the pre-triggering airbag in the frontal collision was presented.And the optimal design was carried out for the pre-triggered airbag and the seat belt.The optimization results show that the gas mass flow rate and the volume scaling factor increases,the size of the vent area reduces,and the airbag pre-triggering,which can reduce the weighted injury index of the dummy.The limit load of the seat belt is reduced,which relieves the force of the chest and reduces the deformation of the chest.The pre-triggered airbag is well matched with the parameters of the seat belt,which can significantly enhance the occupant restraint system to the driver's injury protection.
