At the present stage of rapid economic development,the energy crisis is serious.How to reduce the energy consumption and enhance the efficiency has become the hot topics of the world.Amorphous material has the advantages of high magnetic permeability,low coercivity,and low loss,which can be applied to electromagnetic devices to improve the efficiency and reduce power consumption.When amorphous materials are used in high-speed motors,their efficiency is significantly higher than that of silicon steel motors.However,whether the advantages of amorphous materials still exist on low-speed motors is an unknown issue.This thesis will discuss the impact on performance of the amorphous materials used in permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)for electric vehicle steering pump,which is compared with silicon steel motor under non-high-speed conditions.Firstly,based on the principle of electromagnetic design,a 1.5kW permanent magnet synchronous motor was designed,which stator and rotor cores were made of silicon steel.An electromagnetic calculation program on permanent magnet synchronous motor was written.The parameters and operating performance of the motor were calculated.The main performance parameters of the motor were checked by RMxprt software and the effectiveness of the electromagnetic calculation program was verified.Secondly,the electromagnetic field finite element analysis(FEA)was adopted to study the influence of amorphous materials and silicon steel materials on the performance of the motor.Three schemes were proposed.In the first scheme both stator and rotor core of the motor were silicon steel;in the second one stator core was made of amorphous material and rotor core was made of silicon steel;in the third one both stator and rotor core were made of amorphous material.The performance of three motors at no-load and loaded condition was analyzed.Compared two amorphous material motors,the use of amorphous on rotor had no obvious advantage.In addition,the performance of the motor which stator core with amorphous and silicon steel motor in the frequency range of 5 0Hz?300Hz was compared,and the trends of current,torque,iron loss and efficiency with frequency were analyzed.Thirdly,to verify the correctness of the finite element any results,an experimental platform was set up.The experiment on above-mentioned amorphous motor and silicon steel motor at 100 Hz and 1200 r/min were performed.The experiment results show that the efficiency of the amorphous motor is higher than that of the silicon steel motor,which is basically consistent with the FEA results.Finally,to take full advantages of amorphous materials,the particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to optimize the motor design.The size of stator slot and permanent magnet of the motor were selected as optimization variables.The motor efficiency and weight were calculated as optimization objectives.A set of optimization program was proposed.
