| Discrete material pile is widely used in soft ground reinforcement engineering.Because its material is convenient,construction is simple,cost is low and it can improve the bearing capacity of foundation,accelerate the consolidation of soft foundation,reduce the settlement,and so on.When loading at the top of pile,the ultimate bearing capacity of discrete material pile is mainly determined by the maximum lateral confinement force.The bulging deformation generally occurs at 1-3 times the pile diameter depth range from pile top.In order to improve the bearing capacity of piles,author ring and hoop tires at the top pile to form tire-discrete material pile.The tire discrete material pile can control bulging deformation and improve the bearing capacity of composite foundation.In this paper,author present the concept of tire discrete material pile and study its calculation formula of bearing capacity.Firstly,author introduce the commonly used ultimate bearing capacity formula of the discrete material pile,and then derive bearing capacity formula of the tire discrete material pile on the basis of Brauns method.Considering weight of soil around pile,pile-soil friction,and weight of pile body,author obtain the formulas of bearing capacity under two kinds of failure modes after making some rational assumption.Secondly,author refer test data and obtain ultimate tensile strength of tire.Additional stress of pile body surrounding is obtained by corner points method,and then get fitting formula.Author refer to soil self weight stress and fitting formula,get the position prone to bulging.With FLAC3D,author build a pile model which length is 6 meters,and height of tire reinforcement is 3meters.Using trial method to judge the simulation results.We will get two numerical of the two failure mode.The failure mode of the specimen is as same as the failure mode whose numerical is smaller.At the same time,the comparison with simulation results verify the formula is reasonable and theoretical derivation value is larger.In addition,author verify tire bulge height formula is feasible,and the simulation value is close to it. |
