In recent years,China's railways have developed rapidly and the operating mileage has been accelerated.The rapid development of business also imposes higher requirements on the construction,development and operation of information systems,railway information department is facing severe challenges.A large number of implemented information systems oriented to business requirement demand more computing,network,and storage resources to support;fast-changing market demands require more rapid developing and deploying capability;User tolerance decreasing for downtime also need higher availability on information systems.Under traditional IT architecture,due to application compatibility issues,IT administrators have to deploy different applications on different hardware devices.Computing resources can hardly be shared in a low level utilization rate.Hardware resources of new information system can only be met by equipment purchase.Continuous procurement increases not only costs but also room space,power,and air conditioning expenses.The equipment procurement usually takes a long time,which makes it difficult for the information department to respond quickly to the requirement of business development.With a large number of application running on a single server,its availability can no longer meet the requirement of current customers.With the development of information technology,the virtualization technology originally developed to improve the utilization of mainframe hardware resources has gradually spread to minicomputers and X86 servers,and eventually promoted the development of cloud computing,becoming a common model of cloud computing.Virtualization technology s the logical layer from the physical layer so that resource utilization is greatly improved and information systems are more consistently managed.Its on-demand self-service,broad network access,resource pooling,and rapid elasticity make the information department able to respond quickly to business development needs.Virtualization technology can improve the availability of the original stand-alone system,thereby increasing the level of business continuity and reducing the downtime of the system.This paper studies generic availability technologies and virtualization availability technologies,and realizes the migration of information systems from traditional IT architectures to virtualized architectures without reducing availability.First of all,through the introduction of several models of server virtualization and storage virtualization,the virtualization principles of computing,network,storage and other physical resources are described.Secondly,according to the availability formula,the principles of usability technologies such as redundancy,backup,preventive maintenance,homogenization,and scientific management are emphasized in terms of increasing the normal usable time of the system and reducing the system deactivation time.Third,the topology of the virtual data center is introduced,and the principles of virtualized availability technologies are detailed.Finally,with the actual case,introduced the realization of virtualization availability technology.
