With the operation of power system is close to its stability limit state frequently. In the event of a contingency or a large disturbance,large-scale blackouts or even the whole system crashes would happen. However,Optimal Power Flow with Transient Stability Constraints(OTS)can integrate the economic and dynamic security of the system into the same framework, which has become an effective tool to get the safety of the system.According to the swing curves of generator rotor and the characteristics of transient stability analysis,a simple and credible criterion to determine transient stability is proposed, which reduces the calculation density to a certain extent.By using MATLAB parallel computing toolbox,a parallel method proposed in this paper improved the accuracy and calculation speed of the stability assessment with reasonable computing resources, reaching to the practical or even online level computing speed.Numerical results on three test systems, the NE-39 system, the IEEE 300-bus system and 703-bus systems, show that the OTS model based on parallel computation is effective in reducing the computing time.To a certain extent, the algorithm proposed in this paper can adapt to any system calculation considering any expected number of contingence with sufficient numbers of cores, and has broad research space.
