As the main bearing structureof cable-stayed bridge,the cable plays anextremely important role in the operation of this kind of bridge.However,due tofactors like the long-time alternating load and exposure to the natural environment,the cable is prone to corrosion and broken wires,seriously threatening the using safety of the cable-stayed bridges.In view of the issues,it is difficult to solve by the conventional technology,accordingly,carrying out the research on detection and monitoring technology of corrosion and broken cable wire plays a crucial role in safety of the bridge structure.Through the analysis of metal magnetic memory technique,a new method for detection and monitoring technology of brokencable wire based on thetechnique is proposed.The experimentis designed to analyze variation characteristics of self-magneticleakage signals when wires are corroded and broken,and the relationship between the leakage signal and the momentthe bridge cablesare corroded and broken is established.The main contents and conclusions in this paper are as follows:(1)By summarizing and analyzing the characters andresearch status and existing problems of cable detection and monitoring technology,the metal magnetic memory technologyis introduced into the detectionand monitoring processes of cable.Then the newcable detection and monitoring technologybased on metal magnetic memory technology is proposed.(2)According to the experimental requirements,the 3D scanning device based on metal magnetic memory technology is developed independently,including the development of corresponding software,which is pretended to achieve the three-dimensional autonomous scanning and automatic data acquisitionin laboratory.(3)The detection and monitoring testof the corrosion of steel strands and broken wires is carried outbased on metal magnetic memory.The variation characteristics of self-magnetic leakage signals when wires are corroded and broken is analyzed and the relationship between the leakage signal and the moment the bridge cablesare corroded and broken is establishedThe relationship between corrosion of broken wire and metal magnetic memory leakage signals are:in the start and end part of corrodedregion,thegradientsofmagnetic leakage signalsBxappear peaksandtroughs,whilethegradientsofsignalsBzappear zero points.In addition,at the middle of corroded region,thegradientsofsignalsBxappear zero points andthegradients signalsBxappear trough.That is to say,there is a jumping mutation among theinstantaneous signalsBx,By and By of broken wires.(4)The detection and monitoring of broken corrodedwires are simulated and analyzed in the software ANSYS based on metal magnetic memory andthe relationship which is proposed in the detection and monitoring corrosion testsbetween the moment the bridge cablesare corroded and brokenandthe leakage signalsis validated.(5)The application idea of detection and monitoring technology onbroken wires based on metal magnetic memory is presented,and the system of cable detection and monitoring device based on metal magnetic memory technology is designed,providing a reference for similar studies and practical application of bridges in the future.
