Research On The Reforms Of The Open Space In Old Residential Streets Based On “Urban Refurbishment”

After the reform and opening,China’s urbanization has been on the track of rapid development,and the "epitaxial" expansion was the main way of urban development.In recent years,with the apearance of malpractice of blind expansion,the connotative development gradually replaced "expansion",urban organic renewal became a strategy which was used for solve the urban problems and break throughs of urban development.The reform of old residential areas that is an important content of urban organic renewal has caught the society’s attention in the background of "Ecological Rehabilitation and Urban refurbishment" and transformation of urbanization development in China.However,the reform of the open space in street of old residential areas is an important breakthrough point to promote the organic renewal of the city,it also creates the ideal human settlement and contributes to the urban development.In the process of integrating the old residential areas into the city,the open space of residential streets has caused problems in functions,space,transportation and landscape facilities.This thesis aims to explore and develop a methods for the reform of open space in old residential streets with the guidance of Urban refurbishment and the background of urban organic renewal.The thesis is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the background,main content,purpose and significance of this research,and shows the basic research framework to lay a good foundation for further research.The second chapter includes the status and problems of the open space in the old residential streets.The problem-oriented thesis expounds the constitution,characteristics and problems of the open space in the old residential streets,and establishes the theoretical basis for implementation of the reform.The third chapter contains the theoretical analysis of urban refurbishment.This thesis expounds the theoretical background and connotation of Urban refurbishment and summarizes the experience of reform of the open space in old residential streets based on the concept of Urban refurbishment.The fourth chapter is based on the concept of urban refurbishment,and puts forward the principles and strategies of the research on the reform of the open space in old residential streets.The fifth chapter puts forward the measures of the reform to the open space in old residential streets.It includes several aspects which are based on the concept of Urban refurbishment,like function,traffic,space,landscape,facilities and so on.The sixth chapter includes the practical application that is based on the concept of Urban refurbishment.Through the concrete case,the strategies and methodss of the reform proposed in the previous article are verified and demonstrated.Finally,the conclusions and shortcomings of this thesis and the prospect of future research are discussed.This thesis aims to enrich and develop the concept of urban refurbishment,the construction of residential environment and the theory of urban renewal.This thesis provides guidance for urban renewal of old residential areas,and hopes to improve the vitality of urban and old residential areas and the overall spatial environment of old residential streets by studying.
