Traffic congestion is a stubborn impediment to city. The development of public transport, especially rail transit, has become an important way to alleviate traffic congestion in big cities. The rapid development of rail transit puts forward higher requirements on the precision of passenger flow forecasting. The more refined determination of the service destinations of the urban rail stations is a key step in passenger flow forecasting. However, there are big differences in terrain, road network, and urban affairs between the mountainous cities and plain cities.Great differences require the individualized theory and methods of attracting area of urban rail stations. The research status of the attracting area of urban rail stations at home and abroad is discussed in detail, the particularity of attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous cities is analyzed, and the necessity and significance of the research on the attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous cities is clarified in this paper.First of all, through the definition and understanding of the attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous cities,it was confirmed that the research object of this paper is the urban rail stations of the mountainous city.the way to connect is to walk, and the problem is the time and space range of the passengers throughout the day.The analysis also shows that passenger physiological, topographic, type of urban rail stations and site land use surrounding the site are the key factors affecting the attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous cities;secondly, the data of 2014 residents' travel surveys are fitted and tested, founded the time of the orbit obeys the normal distribution, and the time corresponding to the probability density of 85% of the normal distribution is determined as the time-attracting range of the orbital station;third, the walking environment of the mountainous city is analyzed to establishes the model between road slope and walking speed and the model of walking energy in mountainous cities based on road slope and walking speed, and then proposes the concept of walking distance for unit energy consumption(1KJ)in mountainous city urban rail stations, which can be calculated by Arc GIS.Fourth, the entropy of the land use within the range of 1 km around the orbital site is used to evaluate the degree of mixture of the site;fifth, multiple regression analysis was used for general sites and transfer sites to establish a time-attracting area model based on entropy of the area of the sites, total floor area of the sites, and unit energy walking distance of the sites. The results show that the average time-attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous cities exceeds that of plain cities by 52%;sixth,according to the attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous cities, the geographic information database of Chongqing was established in Arc GIS.In addition, the residents' walking speed on each slope of the mountain terrain was modeled and the spatial attracting area of the urban rail stations in mountainous cities was calculated by Arc GIS.As a result,it was found that the.spatial attracting area of the urban rail stations in mountainous cities was irregularly shaped. And Nanping Station was taken for example, although the time attracting area is greater than that of plain cities, but the spatial attracting area is still less than the experience value of 800 meters and 1000 meters in plain cities..A multivariate prediction model for the urban rail stations in mountainous cities was established, and the method of determining the spatial attracting area of urban rail stations in mountainous is obtained by Arc GIS.The results can provide support for the program decision-making of the urban rail line in mountainous cities, and provide a theoretical basis for the construction of the chronic traffic system around the urban rail stations.
